"Scott!!!!" I screamed, rubbing over to him and jumping onto him and giving probably the biggest hug known to man.
"Lacey?! What are you doing here?!" Scott said, pulling me off and looking at me. Something was wrong. They were worried.
"Scott. What's wrong? What's going on?" I said. Theo walked over and rested his hands on my waist from behind. I felt relaxed with him with me, and he knew that.
"Nothing. It's just, you came at a bad time. You two should leave." Scott was just about to start walking out of the door before I stopped him.
"Woah. I'm sorry? What makes you think I'd let you face anything without me?" I crossed my arms and glared at Scott. He wasn't too thrilled about that, but he also didn't do anything.
"Lace, listen, I'm part alpha, and your bother. So please listen to me, and go. Just leave." Me said it again. Why the hell would I leave this place? It's home. And why would I leave when there is obviously something that is going to happen.
"No. I'm sorry. But no. I'm not leaving." I said, sitting down on the couch and refusing to get up.
"Lace, come on..." Theo started, but I lifted my hand up. He didn't talk after that. He stopped. No, it wasn't a spell. He just knew how pissed I was getting.
"Listen Lace. You can't be here right now. It's not safe. Something is happening in beacon hills. A-and I don't know what it is!" Scott shouted. He started pacing around the room and was freaking out almost.
When I stood up, I walked over to him and gave him another hug. I didn't let go this time. I didn't give him a chance too. Instead, he wrapped his arms around me and rested his head on mine.
"I know something is happening. I had a dream. It's not good Scott. It's coming. And its coming fast."
Scott's face changed. I can't explain how he looked, but it wasn't a good look.
"Come on, we need to go see Lydia." Scott grabbed my wrist and started pulling me out of the house. I looked back to make sure Theo was still with us, still following us. He was..
Sometimes I think that he'll leave. Not because he just wants too, or wouldn't care anymore. But because of how crazy I am. Because of the things that I've done, the things that I can do. It's scary.
"Don't worry love, I'd never leave you."
I heard Theo's voice in my head and smiled as I hopped into the Jeep. I didn't want to take it with Theo and I while we were traveling. I wasn't sure it would make it. So I gave it to Scott so he could watch over it while we were gone.
It still looked exactly the same. Made me think of stiles..
"Stiles!" I shouted
"Have you guys called stiles at all?! He needs to know!" I said, grabbing my phone. Scott's hand found mine before I could unlock my phone.
"No lace... stiles is in a good place right now. There isn't anything stopping him from doing what he loves anymore. He made it out of here. And I don't want to bring him back in, because I know that if we called, he'd come back. Out of everyone, someone needs to have a simple life.."
damn. I hated when Scott was right. Which he was. If anybody deserves a normal life it's stiles. He's been apart of this since day one.
He deserves to be happy.
And I need to be happy for him.
Theo hopped into the back of the Jeep and Scott started the engine.
As soon as he looked in the rear view mirror and started backing out, he stepped on the brake hard. Making all of us jolt forward
"McCall, what the hell." Theo mumbled, holding his forehead that he probably hit up against the back of my seat.
Scott's focus wasn't even on us anymore.
"Lorie?" He said. When I looked back, lorie was standing right behind the Jeep. I remember her, although I never really talked to her much. She was Brett's little sister.
"Lorie, what's going on?" Scott said, walking out of the Jeep and over to her.
"Our lives will never be normal, will they?" Theo asked me from the backseat.
I turned around to look at him and shook my head. He huffed slightly
"Yeah I thought so."
I couldn't help but smile at him. When he saw me smiling, he instantly started smiling too.
That's when I leaned towards him and kissed him.
"What was that for?" He mumbled
"Just cuz." I said, looking into his eyes. I truly loved him. Really. He was my everything. And I was his.
Unbuckling my seat belt, I threw open the door and walked out of the Jeep.
"Scott? What's happening?" I asked, looking in between him and lorie, they both had on sour faces.
"Brett's missing."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Malia!! Oh god I've missed you!!" I shouted as we have each other crushing hugs.
"Are you kidding?! I've missed you more. Tell me everything. How was traveling? How was Theo?.." Malia smirked as I couldn't contain my laughter.
"Oh god.."
I knew that voice. But it wasn't said out loud. It was in my head, but it sure as hell wants Theo's.
I turned around to see Liam walking closer to us...
I was kinda glad that Theo was with Scott, and not here at the moment, because my heart was racing faster the closer Liam got to me.
I could feel it in him too.
God. How can this be happening?! How can I seem to love two men at the same time. I thought I was over Liam. All summer long I've been all about Theo. He was the only thing on my mind. But right when I see Liam. Everything comes flooding back. Every emotion, good and bad. Although right now, the bad seems to be fading away.
"Liam..." I said. Standing straight as he looked at me.
"Lace.." He said back.
It had been since before summer since we've actually talked to each other. Seeing him, now. I couldn't help but feel everything again. As if it was the first time.
LIAMS POV:
I'd know that scent from anywhere. That smell. Of vanilla and honey. God I always loved how she smelled.
I heard her talking to Malia about Theo as I walked up.
Oh god...
I didn't want to hear this. I wasn't even sure if I should really see her again. Should I?
It was too late though. She must have sensed me or something, because she turned around a focused her eyes on me.
She's gotten tan. Probably from the islands. But not a dark tan. The kind where the person looks like they are literally glowing. Her hair was wavy and had the most perfect beach curls. Her lips were perfectly pink, and plump. Her skin looked smooth, like no mater what, you wouldn't find a blemish anywhere.
But maybe that's just how she looked to me. Like a beautiful glowing, flawless person. I would never be able to get over her. I know that now. There was no point in trying to. Anything without her is pointless.
"Liam..." She said, standing a few feet away. Her heart was pounding heard, and fast. I could feel everything she was feeling.
She still loves me.
"Lacey.." I said back.
"Hey Liam." And that was the voice of the devil. Theo Raeken.
