   May twenty-third, only a week has gone by, yay, note the sarcasm.

   "You know you'll never win prom queen," a voice said. I assumed it wasn't for me so I kept walking. "Look at me when I'm talking to you!" A hand grabbed my arm tightly. I swung my fist around while turning. "Ow!" Piper squealed, a hand to her nose.

   "Oh my gosh! I'm so sor-" I was caught off by a stinging sensation in my cheek. Did she just slap me? I suddenly felt very nervous. I knew I had to hit her back, but this was gonna be my first fight, what if I get my ass kicked?! My other cheek started stinging. I placed my palm over The sting, fuck, that brought me back to reality. I slapped her back, pathetic I know, I had a perfectly good working fist. I punched her nose again before she could do anything to me, this time blood trickled down. She looked down at her fingers and stared at the blood in shock. Then she glared at me. Oh shit, this is going to be messy.

Trey's P.O.V

   "Fight! Fight! Fight!" There was a crowd collected in a circle cheering, no way was I going to miss this. I pushed my way through the crowd. Two girls were both hunched foward gripping each others hair, moving in a circle. Finally the girl with darker colored hair pushed the other one down. She fell on her ass. She glared at her oppenent. Oh, carp, Piper. But who was she fighting. The other girl pushed her hair over her forehead with one hand, Rose. My mouth dropped in shock.

   Piper ran into Rose knocking them both down. Piper clawed Rose's face. Rose elbowed Piper's cheek. I was already making my way towards them when three security gaurds arrived. Two of them grabbed Rose and Piper and grabbed their arms and made them to upper L whie the security was locking their arms in that position with their own.

   The other security was shooing the crowd away. Piper spit on Rose's face, while she passed by. Rose made movement to go after her but the security tightened his grip bringing Rose back to his body. Rose kicked out makeing Piper almost fall had the other securtiy not had a hold on her.

   "That's enough!" The security shouted harshly at Rose, shaking her.

   "Hey!" I called out. No way did he just try to harm Rose. The security got in my way, blocking me from them.

   Piper's P.O.V

   That bitch and me were both in the nurse's office, cleaning out blood.

   "Here," the nurse handed Rose a wipe. "Clean that line of blood off your face," she said sternly. The nurse, whos tag read, Nora, turned to me.

   "Here sweetie," Nora handed me a kleenex. "Just keep this over your nose and put your head back."

   Rose scoffed. "Yeah, because she totally wants to swallow it."

   Nora glared at rose. I could taste the flavor of blood in the back of my throat. "Um maybe I should just keep my head straight, for safe measures." I told the nurse. She smiled at me, "Of course, sweetie." Then she walked out.

   "Stupid bitch," I told Rose as soon as Nora had left.

   "Excuse me, but you hit me first."

   Was she stupid? "You hit me in the nose, slut."

   Rose sighed. "Then you shouldn't have touched me," Rose said with much force. Okay, time to back off.

   "Whatever."

   The door opened and the principle walked in. He pulled a stoll so he was more or less in front of us both. "Girls, I'm very dissapointed. You both are some of the smartest kids at this school and I don't want to have to suspend either of you, it pains me really, but you both disobeyed the rules. We have a zero tolerance policy and you both knew that full well. Who started it?"

   Neither Rose or I answered.

   The principle sighed. "Girls the consequences will be a lot worse if I don't know who started it."

   "Rose did," I offered.

   "What?! I did not!"

   "Yes. You did. You hit me and I fought back, sorry that I'm not weak to just let you do what ever."

   "Rose, is this true?"

   "Y-yes, but it's not what it looks like!"

   William tilted hsi head. "Then please, explain."

   Rose looked searchingly at the floor then her face lit up. "She touched me!"

   "As if. I would rather wear neon to prom."

   "No, Piper touched me," Rose pointed at me. "I was walking and she grabbed my arm, tightly may I add, then she pulled me around, I was doing self defense."

   William turned to me. "Is this true, Miss Mitchels?"

   "I- I, of course not!"

   "Hmm, seem to have a little trouble deciding wethert it is, Piper?"

   I glared at Rose.

   "Very well, Piper, you're suspened for a week, Rose three days, now if you escuse me, I have to call your parents." He got up. Five days? Prom was this weekend!

   "Wait I still get to attend prom right?"

   "No, you are not allowed to attend any school functions during your suspension."

   "What?!" I screeched. But he was already out the door. oh my gosh. Porm was huge for me! I was gonna claim my crown, I busted my ass to be the most popular to win this.

   "Um, are you okay?"

   I looked at Rose. "No."

   "Well if you ever need to er talk, I'm right her, you know?"

   I scoffed. "Like I would tell you."

   Rose shrugged and turned.

   "You know," I started. Rose turned back. "I was gonna be prom queen, that was gonna be my night, my spotlight."

   "Isn't it just a dance?"

   I gaped at her. "No! When i was a freshman, I got invited to prom and it was a really nice place, then when they crowned the queen, everyone cheered for her, her smile was so big and I wanted that."

   "Oh, what did you mean by I'll never be prom queen? I"m not even a canidate."

   "Wow, you really are a nobody. Yes you're nominated, you dimwitt."

   "Well either way, I don't have a chance against you." She shurgged.

   I gave her a half smile. "I know that."

   "I'm sorry for punching you in the nose,"  she said quietly.

   I lowered the Kleenex, it had stop bleeding. "It's okay, I'll just buy a new one." I giggled. She laughed along. "I am sorry for grabbing youu though."

   "No harm done," she smiled at me. I smiled back.

   The door opened. "Your parents have been called and are on their way to pick you up." The principle took in the scene. "I see you are both friends again, very good, now step out into the main office to be picked up." He closed the door behind him.
