Tommy woke me up that morning by kissing down my spine. I tried to turn over confused as to what was going on but he gripped my waist to prevent me from moving. He moaned against my lower back just above my butt. I felt him grin giving it on last kiss before coming up to my ear.

I smiled weakly and got out of bed with him to get dressed. I looked out the window to see the sun was just about to come up. Slipping a clean t-shirt over my head I walked over to the window and leaned my head against the bars. My skins burned at the touch of the cool metal but the flint of sunlight over the trees provided a grateful heat. I sighed and smiled at the orange glow that painted the sky.

"Julie we need to go downstairs and get ready." Tommy mumbled from behind me coming in from the hall. He had probably been to the bathroom. When I turned around he gave me a strange look.

"Have you been crying?" He asked.

"No." I said quickly.

My eye lids felt swollen and gave off their own heat. I remembered the early hours of this morning and the dream I had had. I must've cried my self back to sleep.

"Don't lie to me Julie! Or I will punish you." Tommy came closer and grabbed my wrist. I tried to pull away but he was too strong.

"Why have you been crying?" His eyes bored into mine.

"I-I...I had a bad dream that's all..." I lied through my teeth.

"About?" Anger was rising inside of Tommy. I could see it in his eyes.

"Just about Emme and what-what had happened." A fake tear rolled down my cheek and I buried my head into his neck to avoid his gaze. Any longer and he would've seen right through my story.

Sighing he stroked my hair and kissed my head.

"Being here isn't going to help. We need our own place..." Tommy rested his chin on my shoulder. Looking up I saw him still watching me.

"But what about Taylor?" I asked stunned.

"What about him?"

"He'll be all alone without us. He can't look after Kyle, clean the house, work and get meat all on his own. What can he do?"

Tommy shrugged.

"His problem, not ours."

"We can't just leave him!"

"We can and we will! He's a grown man, he can look after himself." Tommy snapped and pulled on my hair. Wincing I squeezed my eyes shut.

"If it bothers you that much, I'll write to Gabe. He can come up with something to help Taylor out ok?" Tommy finally suggested.

I nodded. I knew that the rest of the family had been made aware of Jimmy, Hunter and Emme dying and that me and Tommy were helping look after Kyle with Taylor. What they didn't know quite yet was about me and Tommy's new relationship.

"Anyway, were going to have our own sons to look after soon. We will need the space." Tommy mumbled kissing my lips quickly before taking my head and leading me downstairs.

He sat at the kitchen table while I was busy making oatmeal on the stove. Taylor was in the living room changing Kyles clothes. Setting out three bowls I poured the oatmeal out of the pan and set one of them in front of Tommy. He grunted a thanks and proceeded to eat.

I put a clean bottle on the side and hunted in the cupboards for the milk powder. Kyle was probably going to be hungry soon and I didn't want Taylor to get angry or upset. Stumbling out of the kitchen door in surprise as Tommy smacked my behind I rolled my eyes and went into the front room to find Taylor.

He was sat on a beat up sofa looking down at his son. Kyle waved his hands around and drooled on his clothes making Taylor smile. I smiled as well as Taylor tilted his head to the side and watched the baby curiously. Knocking lightly on the door Taylor's smile faded and turned to look at me.

"Breakfast is ready." I stated.

Only nodding in reply Taylor stood holding onto the baby not taking his eyes off him. Wandering back down the hall I sat down at the table with my bowl in front of me. Tommy's gaze followed me causing me to shudder slightly when he rubbed my knee.

Padding softly into the kitchen Taylor nodded at Tommy and grabbed the bottle for Kyle off the side without saying a word. Sitting on the opposite side on the table he fed Kyle while eating his own food.

I shifted uncomfortably in my seat, no one spoke creating an awkward tension that sat in the air like a bad smell.

"So um...how's work outside going?" I asked Tommy trying to break the silence.

I received a shrug in response. Dropping the subject I turned back to my food that had almost turned cold.

"By the way Julie..." Taylor finally spoke.

I looked up and watched him.

"Tonight don't cook any meat. We're running low and I want it saved for when the family comes over in a few weeks. Unless we find some people soon, don't cook any unless me or Tommy says ok?" Taylor asked looking up at me, his mouth full of oatmeal.

I nodded picking up mine and Tommy's bowls to wash.

"We could always go out hunting?" Tommy suggested.

I listened in silence. My hands soaked in the hot water and soap while I washed the dishes and cups.

"No Tommy, we only take what comes on our property."

"But if we look and they are on the property we can take them!" Tommy's voice rose slightly becoming more agitated.

"I said no Tommy! It's not like someone's going to knock on the door! I have to look after Kyle and we both have to work, so wait!" Taylor snapped.

Knock
Knock
Knock

Jumping water sprayed and hit the window. Tommy and Taylor looked at each other and then at me.

Someone was at the front door...

"Huh, fresh meat." Tommy smirked.
