It's a perfect New York day after a storm. The sun is shinning and the temperature is on the warm side for October. And of course in typical New York fashion, we got stuck in a bit of a traffic jam.

Tom and I sat snuggly in the backseat. Sam, Tom's brawny security sat in front.

The cab driver seems to be a big fan of Queen. Freddy Mercury belts out his greatest hits accompanied by the relentless honking sounds coming from outside.

"Mama... Oooh oooh..." My fellow passenger sings along softly next to me. "Didn't mean to make you cry..." Tom played his imaginary piano.

I laughed at his antics. He grabbed my hand and used it as a fantasy microphone. "If I'm not back again this time tomorrow..."

HOOONK!!

"Get the fuck out of my way you stinkin' idiot!" The driver shouted at... Well... every car on the street. He added a very spirited wave of the middle finger to make his point across.

Tom and I laughed quietly, not wanting to cross our emotional driver.

"Tom I don't see how technically we can go out to brunch with Ben..." I whispered.

"What do you mean love?"

"Won't you two be recognized? I mean one of you might be overlooked. But both together?" I still can't see how we can have brunch without eventually attracting fan girls.

"This is New York... Nobody cares... Besides we have our ways" Tom winked confidently.

I must look confused because Tom grinned and said "If we get ambushed, I give you permission to make a run for it"

"Oh hell yes... You two can make your own bed" I replied snootily. "Poor Sam..." I sighed dramatically. Tom chuckled.

After what seemed like forever, we reached our destination.

"Chinatown!" The driver barked.

I glanced at Tom. He smiled brightly and take my hand in his as we got out of the cab.

Whew it's bright! I rummaged through my purse for my trusty Ray Bans. Darn where did they go.

"You okay love?" Tom is already wearing his black sunnies and baseball cap. "It's quite hot today..." He unzipped his blue jacket.

"Can't seem to find my sunnies..."

"Oh here wear mine... " He took off his sunnies and swiftly secured them on me.

"Thanks... But don't you need them?"

"The baseball cap will do the trick" he flicked his cap as one would a top hat.

"No I meant you know... To cover your face" I pointed out. Your beautiful recognizable face.

"Hehehe... relax darling..." with that he took my hand in his.

We walked leisurely, enjoying the sun. A tiny part of me wanted to ask where we are actually having brunch, but I decided to just enjoy the moment and let Tom lead the way.

Spontaneously I guided his arms to hold me by the waist as I rest my own hand on his back. He glanced at me and smiled lovingly. He flipped his baseball cap backwards making it possible for his lips to plant a small kiss on my cheek. I rest my head on his strong shoulder contently. And then I realized something.

In panic I flipped his cap back to its proper position, covering his face. I did a 180 of the busy street in front of me. Pedestrians comprising of New Yorkers and tourists. All of them to busy to notice Tom and I. Not even Tom Cruise would get noticed here.
