In Plain Sight [BTS THRILLER]

Chapter 11

The next day, around noon, Jungkook, Yoongi, and Namjoon all gather in Namjoon and Jin's room; seeing as Jin has already left for work. Both Taehyung and Hoseok are in the living room, staring at the door to Namjoon's room. Hoseok is sitting on the couch while Taehyung sits on the floor.

"What do you think they're discussing in there?" Hoseok asks in a hushed tone.

"I don't know. But, whatever it is, it's something big." Taehyung replies, not taking any of his focus away from the door. "They've been keeping to themselves and shutting everyone else out lately."

Jimin walks out of his room and walks over to Hoseok and Taehyung. As usual, Kiwi is walking right behind him. He looks at the door just as his hyungs are doing. "What are you guys doing?"

Taehyung responds to Jimin rather quickly. "We're trying to figure out why Namjoon, Yoongi, and Jungkook have been so secretive as of late."

"Ah."

"Has Jungkook mentioned anything to you recently, Jimin?" Hoseok asks, looking to Jimin as Taehyung keeps his focus on the door.

Jimin thinks for a second or two before responding. "No... He hasn't." His voice takes on a solemn tone. "Come to think of it, he's been really quiet ever since Namjoon-hyung yelled at us the other night." The three are quiet for a few seconds before Jimin realizes something. "Hyung, don't you have a dance lesson to give today?"

Hoseok looks at his watch for a second and then goes back to focusing on the door. "I don't have to get ready for another hour."

"Ah. Okay." Jimin sits down with Taehyung, on the floor, to join his roommates in trying to figure out what could possibly be going on in the next room.

Taehyung breaks the silence. "Whatever it is, it has to have something to do with why Jungkook was so upset the other night. Namjoon is trying to hide something from us."

Hoseok looks to Taehyung, surprised at how focused he is on the matter. "The question is...," Hoseok pauses, gaining Taehyung and Jimin's attention, "How do we find out what they're talking about?"

The three of them think for a few seconds. "Jimin," Jimin looks to Taehyung, "you try to get it out of Jungkook. He'll most likely tell you before he tells either me or Hoseok."

Jimin nods. "I'll try my best, hyung."

"If all else fails, then Hoseok, you ask Yoongi."

Hoseok looks at Taehyung sarcastically. "Taehyung... You know that'll never work. Yoongi barely talks as it is."

"He's right, you know." Jimin interjects.

"Sometimes, I think that he has so little energy that even making eye contact with someone uses up half of it."

"That may be true, but you two share a room. Just lock the door and annoy him until he tells you. He gets annoyed easily, so it shouldn't take long."

"I guess?" Hoseok says, doubtingly.

"That's only a last resort. Jimin will most likely be able to get the answer out of Jungkook."

Just as Taehyung finishes explaining his plan, the door to Namjoon's room opens suddenly. Afraid of Namjoon's wrath, Hoseok and Jimin both scramble to their feet and run off to their rooms. Kiwi quickly follows after Jimin, who had forgotten about her in his mad dash to his room. He quickly realizes his mistake and cracks the door to let her in before quickly closing it again. Yoongi walks out of the room to find Taehyung patiently sitting on the floor and staring at him. Yoongi looks around. "What?"
