It is now two days later and there is still no sign of Jimin. Jin, Yoongi, Hoseok, and Taehyung continue to look for their missing roommate, even though they are close to losing hope.
Meanwhile, Jungkook is still being held at the police station. He's already begun to grow bitter about his situation and he doesn't trust the police anymore. If the system really worked, why hasn't he been proven innocent and been released by now?
It's the middle of the day when Jungkook is alone with his thoughts. A man wearing a black hoodie, covering his face, walks into the police station and talks to an officer. A few minutes later, Officer Lee walks over to Jungkook's cell and opens the door. Confused, Jungkook just stares at the officer. Officer Lee gestures for Jungkook to get out of the cell. "You're free to go, Jungkook."
"How? I don't understand." Jungkook says as he exits the cell.
"Some guy just posted your bail. He says that he's a friend of yours." Officer Lee closes the cell gate and locks it again. The officer leads Jungkook to the front of the station and walks him over to the man who just bailed him out. Jungkook simply stares at the man. Without saying a word, the man signals for Jungkook to follow him and walks off. Reluctantly, Jungkook follows.
Once they've gained some distance between them and the police station, Jungkook grabs the man's wrist and stops him, spining the man around to face him. "I'm not going any further until you tell me who you are." The man remains silent. "Set? Is that you?" The man shakes his head in disagreement. "Then, who...?" Jungkook attempts to pull the man's hood down, but the man stops him and backs away a bit.
Jungkook glares at the man. The man takes a small notepad and pen out of his pocket. He quickly scribbles something down and then shows it to Jungkook. The note reads: "He's watching us."
"Who? Set?"
The man nods and scribbles something else. "We have to go. Please hurry and follow me..." Jungkook thinks for a moment. The man scribbles again. "Please..." After staring at the man for a few seconds, Jungkook gives in and gestures for the man to lead the way.
The man leads Jungkook to an abandoned building. The two go through a backdoor entrance before the man closes the door and grabs Jungkook's hand, dragging him over to a corner where the two sit on the floor. Finally, the man takes off his hood. Jungkook's eyes grow wide. The man has been Jimin this whole time.
"Hyung... What... What is going on?" Jimin sighs and looks down, trying to find the words to explain the situation. "Did Set mess with you?"
"He captured me, but he didn't hurt me." Jimin looks back to Jungkook. He whispers. "That's not important right now."
"What do you mean? Of course that's important!"
"No." Jimin whispers sternly. "Lower your voice." Jungkook stops talking. "This is really important and we don't have a lot of time."
"What are you talking about?"
"It's about Lucy and Set." Jungkook listens attentively. "I heard Set talking to someone... It was faint, but I heard him say that he was hired... by Lucy."
"What?"
Jimin nods. "She hired him to fake her own kidnapping and to kill her parents."
"No. I don't believe that."
"Jungkook... I'm just telling you what he was saying... He sent me to bail you out today." Jimin pauses. "I know that this is hard to believe..."
Jungkook pauses to think for a minute or two. He finally asks Jimin, "He just... let you go?"
Jimin nods. "I overheard him saying some other stuff, too... I want to tell you at home, though... in private..." The both of them are silent for a moment before Jimin unzips his hoodie. "Before I forget," he takes a packet of papers out from the inside of his hoodie, "Set said for me to give this to you. He said that it was imperative that you look at it." Jungkook takes the packet and stares at it for a bit before the both of them get up to walk back home.
