Don't write your feelings
You tell me
Nobody wants to hear that dont
Be sentimental
You warn
Nobody's interested in that but
What you don't realize
Is that sentimentality is the
Essence of poetry and these words
Can bleed and these words can
Cry these words can pierce through the thickest of skin
And break the strongest of hearts these words can
Orchestrate a fountain of tears that cascade down
Your cheeks these words are my literal
Sweat blood tears and these words
Will haunt you they will
Complete you they will
Define you these words are oozing
In sentimentality they are overflowing
With emotion so don't
Tell me how to write
poetry because these words
Are my words and not
yours
