Breakfast is always a rush
For me i don't give myself enough
Time to eat so i rush through my
Morning and typically eat in the
Car driving to school with the steering wheel
In one hand and a blueberry bagel with butter
Except I cant believe its not butter
In the other crumbs raining
Down on my lap my grandma
Would have something to say
About that music blaring heat turned up im
Driving behind a pick-up truck my sister
In the passenger seat and she is swaying
To the beat of the drum pounding
In our hearts praying that this car
Will start and school is starting soon
She yells we are going to be late about to be
Doomed i forgot to feed the dog i say
Running back in not ready
To start my day my dog is laying on the couch
Breakfast i tell her
with a shout she comes running
Towards me as happy as can be because
I may forget to eat breakfast some days but my dog
Will always be fed by me
