Once upon a time
A long long time ago
A mother in the woods
Left her daughter all alone
The daughter screamed and cried
The mother did not care
Alone in the woods
With nothing but the bears
Once upon a time
A father went away
Left the mother all alone
As she would do to her daughter one day
The mother screamed and cried
The father did not care
Alone in the world
With nobody that cares
Once upon a time
We were led to believe
That there is a such thing
As fairy tail endings
But then we grew up
And we screamed and we cried
But the world did not care
And neither could I
We were all on our own
With nothing but our fears
How could this happen?
How can this be real?
Once upon a time
We were rocked to sleep
Not a care in the world
We had slippers on our feet
Once upon a time
Everything was safe
Our own little world
Our parents seemed so brave
Once upon a time
We were children long ago
Never to grow up
Never to get old
But then we realized
That the world is mean and cruel
That the world does not care
Does not care about you
Once upon a time
A long long time ago
A mother in the woods
Left her daughter
alone.
