Hey guys I just wanted to talk about the article 13 issue that has been arising lately and after taking some time to think after watching The Game Theorists video on it I realized something.
We as content creators on this site and every other book writing website might be at risk. The use of videos and photos and gifs, or jifs for other people, may not be posted on our books as it might be taken down due to copyright infringement.
This is a message to all content creators, all the readers on Wattpad and any other platform you may watch on or produce on. The time to fight is now. Start petitions in order to work against this law so we can pay back to YouTube for protecting through fair use protection and defend them against getting hit by this wave or probably global content destruction.
Because in the end the creators might have to go private videos and private writing in order to get content out to even just the smaller percentage of people who are able to watch and read it.
YouTube and all the other sites have done amazing things for us and shaped us into the people we are. Now they wanna take that away from us? I say no I say we rise up and take action, gather information and make a formulated plan to fight back.
Because unless you like paying for content, it's time to make a change.
