Ruby stood looking at the ground where Y/N once stood. Millions of thoughts filled her head. Y/N had been gone for only a day and yet she missed him dearly. She kept asking herself the same thoughts. 'Was I too harsh? Should I see it from his side? Was I being selfish? Does he not love me?'
These thoughts stayed for a while before she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around to show Tristan. He smiled sadly at her to which she only smiled back with equal sadness.
"You miss him don't you?" He asked her as she said nothing. Only letting out small nods and smaller tears.
"But I know what I need to do..." She said as Tristan looked at her.
"I need to move on." She said as Tristan was taken back a bit.
"Wait what? Don't you think you're overreacting a bit?" He asked as she looked down. She knew it was for the best. She could never love someone a world away.
"I've been thinking about it for a while now. He needs someone who can love him here. But my world needs me. And this world needs him." She said as she turned away and started to walk towards the F.O.B. Tristan looked at the pin that was still on the ground.
"You better know what you're doing. And for goodness sake bring my wife back already." He said as he soon followed ruby to see the whole group standing around the table to find out what to do next.
"We should stick with the Y/N's original plan. Hatch the eggs and use them to fight our way out of here. Now the first thing we need to-" Ruby stopped talking looking around
"Wait where's Weiss?"
~meanwhile~
"I can't believe I'm now stuck in a completely new island or whatever the hell this place is. And to make matters worse my combat outfit is all ripped." Weiss said as she followed Amy and Y/N walking through the small island patches that were surrounded by cascading waters of blue from all sides.
"Don't worry, once we find Mouse and the others we can stock up on some supplies and clothing. We'll get there soon. The coordinates say it isn't that much farther from here." He said looking at his GPS and mad which looked far weirder than any normal map she's seen. They walked for a while more before Weiss looked at Y/N.
"So... You just going to leave Ruby alone like that? Just forget she existed?" Weiss asked as he looked at her over his shoulder.
"Of course not. But while you two slept last night one of my scouts was able to send me a message. Ruby destroyed the scythe I gave her... She's moved on. Which means I should too. It was fun while it lasted but she deserves better than me. Someone she can love in her world. Do I hate her? No. Do I want her to be happy? Yup... Am I sad? A little..." He said as Amy and Weiss looked at each other before they moved past a few trees to see more random islands. These islands, however, had many bridges connecting them and houses alongside the giant rocks.
Ocean Platforms floated on the sea surface above the water as buildings and small shops littered the surface. Certain water tames were seen under the platforms. Y/N marveled at the technological ingenuity of the entire base as he started to laugh in glee.
"I knew they were good but this is insane!" He said laughing brightly.
