Chapter 3: Where we stand

Ruby POV:

It's been about 2 hours since Y/N left into the woods looking all murderous. I was currently sitting in Amy's living room drinking some tea she made for everyone while we wait. I looked towards my implant lightly scratching it as Amy walked over to me. She took my hand into hers stopping me from scratching it anymore.

Amy: The more you scratch the itchier it gets. It will go away soon.

Ruby: Thanks Amy... Do you know when he will be back?

Jessica: The idiot's resilient, he'll be fine.

Ruby: I'm just concerned is all...

Yang: Honestly I'm glad he's gone, I don't want him anywhere near you.

I stood up and walked towards the door. I put my hand on the handle and sighed before turning around to look at Yang with a steel glare.

Ruby: You can't control that, and you no longer control me. Goodbye Yang...

I turned and opened the door and then proceeded to walk towards Nana. Once in front of her I placed my hand on her head between her eyes as I rested my forehead against Nana's. Nana made a soft guttural growl as if to show sympathy. I was pulled from my thoughts the moment I heard a bush rustle. I turned towards it and called out.

Ruby: Hello? Who's there?

I noticed that more bushes started to rustle around me. I reached behind my back to grab Crescent Rose. Only for my hand to hit nothing. I looked at my waist to see that Crescent Rose wasn't there. I then remembered that it was left or Remnant. I started to back up towards the door when I felt someone grab me from behind and put me in a arm lock with a blade at my throat. I was able to slightly look behind me to see a man with Black hair that was put into a pony tail like fashion with steel eyes staring into my soul.

???: Move and you die, scream and you die, breathe to hard and... Well I think you get the jest of it.

I didn't move I knew I was screwed if I called for help. All I could do was obey him. His grip slightly tightened.

???: I haven't seen you before so either Y/N did a good job of hiding you or you're new.

Nana came forward and looked like she was about to attack until he looked towards her and whistled. Immediately Nana stopped and sat back down lowering her head in shame.

Ruby: W-What did you do to her?

The blade made its way closer to my neck slightly drawing blood. I yelped a bit and tried to struggle against him.

???: WHAT DID I SAY ABOUT SPEAKING!?

Tears started to leave my eyes. I was scared beyond belief right now. I just wanted to leave, to escape from him. I didn't know what he wanted but I just want to survive.

Ruby: PLEASE! I JUST WANT TO LIVE, PLEASE DON'T KILL ME! I'M BEGGING YOU!

I had lost all composure, all that was on my mind was survival nothing more. His grip seemed to tighten even further cutting off my airway preventing me from breathing. I started to gasp for air. My vision slowly started to fade as I kicked and clawed at his arms. And just when I though I was going to die I heard a noise.

???: GET AWAY FROM HER!!!

I heard what sounded like a slice as air suddenly filled my lungs I fell to the floor coughing violently. I gasped for the much needed air as my vision started to clear up. I looked up to see a figure standing over me. Once my vision was fully cleared I realized the figure to by my monkey faunus friend.
