General POV
It's been 3 hours since Neal jumped off the deep end. Dominic Strain was one of the many people the FBI was after. He was worse than Keller. He planned everything out, just like Keller, and then executed it without any problems.
Dominic Strain, a wealthy man, didn't have much to loose. That being said, he didn't want to leave any evidence behind to get caught either. He valued his free time.
The only reason the team knew it was Dominic was that he called Elizabeth and told her that Peter was dead at his feet. His eyes were wide open and blood was draining out of his mouth. He said that he was in her living room, but they had to figure out where Neal was now.
Dominic called Neal first. Dominic told him so many things that made since to his already broken mind.
"Peter Burke, agent extraordinary, DEAD. Dead at the hands of Neal Caffery because he was so stuck on himself to save the partner that saved him millions times over. You didn't have the courtesy to repay the man. His death is on you."
This was the voice recording Strain sent Elizabeth as she rushed home. She called Peter many times but he didn't answer. His phone kept going to voicemail, making the situation all too real. Elizabeth called everyone, even Neal. She was stressed and emotional that she black out the who car ride.
Moving on autopilot, Elizabeth ran inside the house. She looked to the living room and saw Peter. He was laying on the couch with a blanket around him. He didn't look dead. He didn't have any blood on him and his face wasn't pale.
Slowly, Elizabeth walked over to Peter. She was about to reach out to touch him when Peter opened his eyes. He was very confused.
His wife was standing over him with a look that he couldn't read. She had a surprised look on her face with tears streaming down her face.
"Hon? What's wrong?"
Elizabeth launched herself at Peter and buried her face in his neck. She let a whole new set of tears. "You're not dead. You're not dead."
Peter was at a loss. "What... What's happening?"
Right then, Jones and Diana burst through the open door. "Peter! You're alive!" Both agents exclaimed.
"Of course I am. What happened?"
Elizabeth pulled out her phone and let Peter listen to the recording. His eyes opened wide as he listened to voice taunt the other person on the phone.
"Where's Neal?"
Both agents shrugged and shook their head. "We both tried calling him. We kept getting a voicemail," Diana explained.
"Have you tried"
"His anklet went off line 10 minutes ago. His last location was at the Chinese place just down the street," Jones interrupted.
"Do you think that he'll go after Dominic?" Elizabeth asked.
"He's changed. He hates guns but he can use it. The way Strain taunted him, we have to act like Neal went after him," Peter said.
