It’s A Shakespeare Thing

Chapter 21

Ryan

“Ryan! Quit twiddling your thumbs and get over here and clean these machines. I don’t pay you to stand there and look pretty for your girlfriend.” Mack, my boss, yelled at me.

“I guess I better get back to work before I get fired.” I scratched the back of my head.

“Ok, I’ll see you tonight. Right?” Lauren sighed.

“You sure will.” I confirmed and pecked her on the lips before returning to work.

Four hours later I was headed home. I couldn’t wait for my date with Lauren. It was crazy how strong my feelings for her had grown since we started dating. I could only think of her. I only had eyes for her. She consumed me in a way no one had ever done before. Somewhere deep down I knew she was the one, but I wouldn’t dare admit it to myself.

When I got home Raylin and Asher were standing in the kitchen wrapped up in each other. They didn’t even notice I had walked in. I decided to go straight to my room instead of interrupting them. I grabbed some clothes and headed for the shower. Once I finished my shower and got dressed I went back to the kitchen to get something to drink. Ray and Asher were sitting at the table eating this time.

“Hey Ry, I didn’t know you were home. Want something to eat?’ Ray smiled. She was always the one to be motherly to Cassio and I.

“Nah, I have a date with Lauren tonight. I’ll see you later tonight, sis.” I kissed her on the cheek before I left.

Twenty minutes later I had picked Lauren up and we were on our way to my favorite Chinese restaurant. I couldn’t wait to see what she thought of the place. I loved the fact that it had a warm and welcoming atmosphere. All the decorations were authentic and so was the food. I grabbed Lauren’s hand and opened the door to the restaurant for her.

“Oh, Mr. Aymes! It good to see you!” Mr. Wang, the owner, greeted me warmly.

“You too Mr. Wang!” I lead Lauren to my Favorite booth in the back left corner.

“So, I’m guessing you come here a lot?” Lauren inquired.

“Yeah, I love this place and the food is awesome.” I replied enthusiastically.

Lauren smiled at me and Lianna came to take our order. We ordered a variety of my favorite dishes and took turns feeding each other. We were having a wonderful time and I couldn’t help but falling a little bit more over the edge for this girl sitting in front of me. By the time we were finished with out meal it was closing time. Actually, it was past closing time. I paid our check and gave Lianna a very good tip.

“See ya next time Mr. Wang!” I waved goodbye.

“See you soon, Mr. Aymes!” Mr. Wang returned my wave.

“So, where to now that we have wasted the whole night eating?” I looked down at Lauren then had to kiss her.

“How about we go to my place? My roommate is visiting her parents this weekend.” Lauren suggested and I almost didn’t believe her.

“Are you serious?” I asked in disbelief.

“Deadly.” Lauren stood on her tip toes and kissed me full on.

“Ok, let’s go.” I was way too excited and it was showing. I didn’t care though. Lauren was finally allowing me in. Her inviting me to her apartment was her way of telling me that she trusted me.

When we arrived at Lauren’s apartment I didn’t know what to do or say so I just let her lead me in. She flipped on the light switch and I noticed we were in a beige painted living roon. To my left was the kitchen and it was painted a light yellow color. Lauren grabbed my hand and gave me a tour of the place. We walked down a narrow hallway that had a door on each side. There was another door at the end of the hallway.

“And this is my room.” Lauren opened the door on the right side of the hallway. I stepped in and was surprised to see that it was painted a light shade of blue. I raised my eyebrows at her and she chuckled.

“Blue is a calming color. It really helps me to relax after a long day at the café.” She explained.

“That’s… I don’t know what to think about that.” I admitted.

“Well then, don’t think. Just come over here and kiss me until I’m breathless.” Lauren smiled suggestively.

I walked over to her and pulled her body against mine. My lips captured hers as we fell on her bed. I deepened the kiss and heard her moan for the first time. I swear it was the sexiest sound I had ever heard in my life. Kissing Lauren was so much better than I could ever describe. Before I knew it my hands were up her shirt. I hesitated a moment when my finger tips skimmed over the latch of her bra. I looked up into her beautiful grey eyes begging for permission to do what I wanted to do to her. Lauren smiled then gave me the slightest nod making me the happiest man on earth for the moment.

The next morning I reluctantly left Lauren’s apartment so she could go to work and headed home. This time I wasn’t ashamed of not coming home the night before. When I walked into mine and Ray’s apartment I had no feelings of shame at all only a goofy smile on my face. Ray and Brax were cuddled up on the couch watching Wonder Pets.

“I take it your date went well.” Ray smirked giving me that knowing look.

“Hell yeah it did!” I boasted.

“Ryan!” Ray exclaimed and covered Braxton’s ears with her hands. “Do not curse in front of him!” She scolded me.

“Calm down Ray. He’s only seven months.” I shrugged my shoulders.

“He can still hear what you say.” Ray huffed and crossed her arms.

“Whatever. I’m going to get a shower before I have to go to work.” I walked out of the living room and to my bedroom whistling a happy tune the whole way.
