I had to give my statement to the officers as others restrained and removed Joe from the premises.
It was embarrassing having to relive everything and admit my encounter with him. I was assured it wasn't my fault he became "obsessed" that it was his own psychological issues that were to blame.
They took the statement from Josh, about what happened and what Andy had said to him.
My brother hugged me.
"It's over" he chuckled and kissed my forehead.
I didn't respond, I just nodded. I looked over his shoulder to see Seth being questioned by a police officer too, the officer nodded then turned around to walk away. Seth sat down alone with his head in his hands. He was crying.
I broke away from Joshua and joined Seth.
He looked up at me, "I'm so sorry" he whispered.
I shook my head as more tears fell. He stood up to hug me. I held him tightly, "I lost everyone, Eden, I don't want to lose you too" he whispered, sobbing into my neck.
I rubbed his back attempting to comfort him.
"Hey. I'm, Seth."
Seth and I turned around to see Joshua behind us.
"I know you lost your parents and now Joseph... you'll probably be asked to move out, but um-" josh scratched the back of his head.
"You can live with us, if you'd like, I feel terrible" he shook his head.
Seth remained quiet but he looked at me, I nodded at him, in agreement.
"That... is huge, Joshua. Thank you, but I feel I have to be on my own for a while" he said.
I looked down in sadness, I too felt bad for him.
"The offer will always remain, you let us know" Joshua said heading to our home.
"Hey"
Seth lifted my head.
"I'm going to be okay" he smiled, I grinned.
"Say something please" his smile dropped.
I gulped hard, feeling my throat dry.
"Do you want me to stay?" He asked hopping I'd answer.
I just nodded.
"I need you to tell me why should I stay." He said to me.
I gulped again.
"Because..." I croaked.
"I don't want to lose you either, I already lost my parents.. Andy and as crazy as it sounds... your brother" I ended up saying.
He nodded slowly, "now I need you to say something" I whispered.
"I'll stay, but on one condition.." he spoke.
