"I didn't know you were dating someone..."

Caleb nodded and took a sip of his hot chocolate. Only because it was hot though. If it was cooler, he would've been gulped that mf down.

"Yeah. We've been dating for a few months now."

"Oh. I see..."

Again, Caleb nodded. He failed to catch the disheartened tone in the younger's voice.

Yes. Younger. Andrew was a few months younger than Caleb. If he wouldn't've told him though, Caleb would've continued to think that he was older than him.

The guy had a full lumberjack beard.

He must've hit puberty early or something.

"Well, do you plan on being with him long? You mentioned that he was a dick?"

Caleb shrugged. "I dunno. I mean, to be honest, I'm a dick sometimes. So I feel like anything I can say about him could be said about me."

Not really. He can't say that you sucked his blood.

But he can say that you sucked his d-

"Anyways, let's change the subject. What'd you want to talk about?"

Andrew shrugged and then shook his head. "Nothing. Nevermind."

"Bro, I didn't just come all the way to this cafe to have you tell me that you didn't actually need to talk to me about something."

A bit of hesitancy from the other ...

"It's not like you were busy anyways."

Burn.

Ouch. He's telling the truth though.

"That doesn't mean I want to be here talking with someone I don't know or want to know."

Wow. A more painful burn.

Andrew rolled his eyes. "Fine. You got me..." he drew in a deep breath.

Caleb didn't understand why he wouldn't spit it out. Although he didn't have anything better to do, he didn't want to sit here for another half hour and listen to Andrew's talking.

Don't get Caleb wrong - Andrew wasn't really boring.

But Caleb didn't know him. Caleb didn't want to get to know him. So he didn't really care.

All of those factors contributed to the slight agitation he felt at the moment. And if Andrew didn't open his pretty mouth and speak within the next minute then Caleb was gonna leave because-

"Will you go out with me?"
