After managing to get the front door unlocked for Daisy, Adrienne felt a sharp pain hit the right side of her body, almost as if someone had stabbed her in the stomach and dug the weapon into her diaphragm. She supported herself against the sink, crying out in pain. Daisy had slipped in to the apartment soon after, hearing nothing but Elias playing in his room."Adrienne?" Daisy called from the living room. Adrienne could not respond. Instead, she dry-heaved painfully into the sink.
"Adrienne!" Daisy dropped her purse on the floor and raced into the kitchen. Adrienne was doubled over the sink and losing her footing as Daisy ran in. "What's going on?"
"I don't know!" Adrienne cried out again, tears involuntarily falling from her eyes. She lowered herself to the ground to try to alleviate some of the pain. "It just started all of a sudden."
"Oh god." Daisy cracked her knuckles nervously and knelt down next to Adrienne. "You said you've been feeling sick for a little while now?"
"Since before E's birthday."
"It's obviously escalated. Here."
"Daisy no I-" Adrienne was cut off by another sharp pain as Daisy moved to pick her up.
"Shut up, you weigh nothing." Daisy hoisted the blonde up bridal style and Adrienne cried out in pain once again. She carried her out of the kitchen and to the couch, where she set her down gently. Adrienne shifted so that she was laying on her left side, avoiding putting pressure on her pained right. Daisy sat down in front of her on the coffee table. "Should I call your doctor?"
Adrienne just groaned in response, the pain taking place of her senses.
"Doctor it is. I'll look it up."
Daisy frantically typed into her phone and paced around the living room of the apartment. She was immediately met with being put on hold. She huffed and stood with a hand on her hip, impatiently waiting. "What in the world was going on?" She thought to herself. It was completely unlike Adrienne's generally good health. Either it was a medical emergency, or something routine. There was no other option. Daisy pulled the phone from her mouth to talk to Adrienne. "Your family doesn't have a history of gallbladder problems, do they?"
"What the fuck do you mean?" Adrienne cried out, rolling onto her left side and into the fetal position on the couch. She steadied herself and looked forward from where she was laying down and Elias peeked out of his room.
"Adrienne I'm just trying to rule some things out." Daisy rolled her eyes and chewed on her thumbnail.
"Well rule that out. I don't like the sound of that."
