When Ben woke up the morning Adrienne had to leave to the scratching and delicate howl of Frankie looking for food and to go on a short morning walk, he was delighted by the sight next to him. Adrienne's hair had come out of the bun it was in the night before, and it was now swept in an awkward direction across her face. As well as that, she was sprawled out on her side of the bed and his, her hand just inches from Ben's face. He couldn't have awoken to a more beautiful sight.

Frankie yelped and scratched at the door once more, pulling Ben's focus back. He sighed heavily with a smile on his face and went to tend to the young beagle. Upon opening the door, she sprung right up at Ben, yipping each time she jumped. When he finally closed the door behind him, Ben caught her mid jump and held Frankie close, allowing her to smother him in kisses.

Adrienne stirred at the small whine of Frankie and as Ben closed the door behind him. She turned over on her back and stretched out, arching off the bed just a bit before slumping back down. She didn't want to leave Ben's today. She'd be okay with either bringing Elias to Ben's or bringing Ben back to LA with them. But they didn't have that option at the moment. Adrienne climbed out of bed and went straight for Ben's own guitar that was tucked away in the corner of the room

She sat back on the bed with it, strumming it a couple times. Noticing something off, she strummed each string on its own, until she realized some of the strings were backwards in tuning. Adrienne smiled at the harmless mistake and fixed the tuning of the guitar for Ben. Once it was corrected, she began to pick a much simpler version of Don't Stop. It was one of her favorite pick-me-up songs, and never failed to put her in a good mood.

Ben slowly cracked open the door to the sight of Adrienne and slowly crept in, not wanting to distract her from being so entranced by her own music. Only when he shut the door, she looked up.

"I fixed it." Adrienne stopped playing and looked up at him, smiling sweetly.

"The guitar?"

"There was a fluke in your tuning."

"Aren't you heroic?"

"Oh get over here you git."

Ben rolled his eyes and laughed slumping onto the bed next to her, only for Adrienne to position herself on top of him. Ben tilted his head up to kiss Adrienne and she smiled into it, tucking her arms around his shoulders. His lips were warm and inviting, but she had to get as much as she possibly could before leaving. Adrienne rocked her hips against his languidly, hoping he would get the message.

"You ready to try again?" Ben let go from the kiss and Adrienne sat up, her hands letting go to rest at her sides.

"Are you?"

Ben laced his hands with hers. "I'm ready if you're ready."

"Just take it easy on me this round." Adrienne smiled smugly. "It's been a hot minute."

Ben raised an eyebrow, slowly sitting up so their faces were dangerously close to the other. He matched her knowing gaze with one of his own. "This round?"

"If you know what I'm getting at." Adrienne peeled her hair off of her shoulders and neck and tied it into a ponytail, her tank top leaving little to the imagination.

Ben gripped her hips tightly. "Game on."

Ben carefully set Elias back down on the ground and turned to Adrienne, who reached for a hug, hoping to hold him for one more short moment. Ben obliged, opting to hug her where he was picking her up off of her feet. But in an instant, he dipped his head and pressed his lips to hers softly. Tenderly. Adrienne melted into the kiss, adoring how sweet it was, a welcome contrary to the morning. She tilted your head slightly so that she could lean into him even closer. Ben was just so warm and his skin felt so good. Adrienne would never get over that.

Elias stared blankly at Adrienne and Ben as they pulled apart. Adrienne laughed at the sight of the gears turning in Elias's head as he wondered why they had just kissed. "Did you kiss my mamma cause you guys are best friends?"

Adrienne clapped a hand over her mouth and stifled a laugh. Ben put his hands on his hips and turned to Elias to answer his question "That's exactly why I did it."

"Does that mean Taylor and I can kiss too?"

"Absolutely not!" Adrienne said firmly, much to Ben's entertainment. "It's time for us to go anyway."

Elias hopped up from his spot on the bench and sped away from Adrienne's grasp, a little too ready to go home.

"Elias, in questo modo!" Adrienne called to him, diverting the little boy back to them.

"Call me when you get back, yeah?" Ben cupped Adrienne's cheeks and gave her one more kiss. She picked up her carry on and gave Ben one more sweet look.

"I love you best friend."

"I love you more, best friend."
