**Niall's POV**

"When is she going to wake up doctor?" After Kylie passed out in the cave, I rushed her straight to the hospital. All I could think about was if she was going to be ok. And then it hit me. She smashed her head her head because of me.  She smashed her head because I yelled for her. This is all my fault. My beautiful girlfriend is being rushed to the hospital because of the four words I carelessly yelled. Four words. That's all it took for my world to be turned upside down. For my heart to shatter and drop into my stomach. Four words. Four simple words, and now the only thing that I woke up for every morning was lying, unconscious, as I drove, or more like sped, to the hospital.

"We aren't sure. She responded well the the Adrenaline dose we gave her. And she's showing all the signs of waking up soon. But realistically, it's up to her when she wakes up." I'm pulled back into reality as Dr. Short fiddles with Kylie's machines.

"What do you mean 'It's up to her when she wakes up'?" He's a doctor. Isn't he supposed to know these types of things? I know Kylie is strong and all, but is she strong enough to "wake up"?

"I mean-" Dr. Short is cut of by a commotion in the hallway.  I spin around on my heels and stare at the door. Kylie's mom is out there. I couldn't tell if she was mad at me or if she blamed me for what happened to Kylie based on the short phone call we shared. I guess I'm about to find out?

"I DON'T CARE WHAT YOUR STUPID POLICY IS!  MY DAUGHTER IS IN THERE- UNCONSCIOUS- AND IF YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING TO STOP ME FROM SEEING HER THEN PLEASE TELL ME WHAT ON EARTH YOU ARE SMOKING!" The door burst open and Mrs. Stone storms in with a younger- looking nurse hot on her trail.

"Dr. Short, I tried to keep her in the waiting room but-" Dr. Short cut her off. A mixture between disappointment and understanding flashes across his face.

"Lacey, why would you try to keep Mrs. Stone in the waiting room?"

"I thought the rules said that only one person could be in a paitent's room at a time."

"That rule doesn't apply for family, Lacey. He," He points directly at me, but never loses eye contact with who I assume is Lacey. "He is the one visitor allowed in the room at the moment." Lacey's eyes dart from Dr. SHort's to mine then quickly to the floor. She shuffles over towards the door, shoots an apologetic glance towards Kylie's mom, and exits the room quietly. "I'm sorry about the mix up, Mrs. Stone."

Her gaze breaks off of Kylie's pale, sickly looking face and she sends the doctor a weary smile. Her eyes have a glossy film and the tears are threatening to spill over her red eyelids. She makes her way over to Kylie's side and places her hand into Kylie's frail one. With her free hand she moves the hair off of Kylie's face and caresses her cheek.

Dr. Short checked the machines one last time and swiftly left the room. I was still afraid of what Mrs. Stone thought of me since the accident happened, so I quietly backed up into a corner of the room.  This whole time I had been trying to stay strong. I had to stay strong for Kylie. I had to stay strong for me. I had to stay strong for us. I glanced over at Kylie and I could see her mom's tears resting on her pale cheeks. Mrs. Stone gently wiped them away, but her tears continued to fall. I can't take it anymore. I caused all of this. All of this pain and hurt. It was all my fault. I slid down the wall and cried. I cried for Kylie. I know I have to be strong, but I just can't anymore. She's lying here, in a Hospital. And it's all my fault. The words echoed in my head.
