Light 45

James, Maddox, Trent, and some pack warriors eventually showed up to the Glenwood pack.

According to Alpha Garret, who we later learned was fighting off Veronica's other guards in the field with his warriors, there were not casualties on his side which I could see that he was really grateful for.

Meanwhile, Theron was nowhere to be seen, or at least we thought she wasn't. We've been looking for her body as well only to find out that she was wanting at the border with other guards protecting her. Diana happened to be running in that direction and said she was surrounded by all of them. By the grace of God she killed them all and made it out with only a few scratches.

The field was littered with blotches of blood in the grass. There were warriors and nurses everywhere tending to Veronica's wounded guards who would later be imprisoned or trialed to see if they would be able to live in a pack.

"Baby!" The hairs on my neck raised as my body turned around.

Maddox.

There he was standing in only cargo shorts. I watched his chest rise and fall in deep harsh breaths before he began to move closer with a primal look on his face. His eyes were trained on nothing but me as he walked past many people who seemed to make way for him.

My body was picked up off the ground before two strong arms wrapped my legs around his waist. Maddox slammed his lips against mine in a hard kiss making my blood boil hot. My skin was littered with tingles and sparks feeling the fire ignite from the passion being poured in the kiss. I almost couldn't keep up with his tongue discovering my mouth tasting me as if it were his oxygen. I didn't notice I was moaning until I realized that we were in public.

I pulled back and broke the kiss. I could feel the wetness in my panties already.

His eyes were no longer gray but fully dilated.

"When we leave, you're going to be handcuffed to me from now on." He stated before putting me down on my wobbly legs.

I just simply smiled. In front of me, after all this hell, is the man I love and all I can do is smile like an idiot. I honestly thought that we were going to get badly hurt or killed trying to get out of this mess.

"Um, hello?" Maddox's hand was waving in my face bringing me back to reality. "Did you hear me, missy? You are not leaving my side." He said pointing his finger at me like I'm a child.

I smacked his hand out of my face and grabbed his shoulders. I smashed my lips against his in another kiss before I felt his arms cage me in against his hard body. The blood and sweat no longer occurred to me. As long as I have him with me, nothing could go wrong ever again.

"Alright, everything is settled. Some of Alpha Garrett's pack warriors are in the hospital but none of their injuries are fatal. The pack members on the other hand are safe at their location since none of Veronica's goons followed." James said as he was hugging Genesis close to his side. Every once in a while I would catch her blush as he kissed We temple.

James may have been a hard ass, but when it comes to Genesis he's a different person.

Diana and Alpha Garrett we're helping the doctors with materials and setting up spaces for patients.

Trent was here with us as well. I could tell he felt a little awkward around us couples so I did my best to make sure my friend was comfortable. After Maddox and I's heated moment, Trent gave me a bone crushing hug saying how he could never lose a sister like me.

Unfortunately, before I asked why he just had to open his mouth.

"And I don't mean sister because you're black."

My face just fell into the most blank look possible but I couldn't hold it in. We both burst out in laughter.

James and Genesis had a cliche moment as did I. James was calling out for Genesis when she turned around and they both started to run towards each other which ended in a "fuck me now" moment that I happily walked away from.

Anyways we were all standing in front of the pack house basically just staring at each other. We were so happy that we were all okay. Maddox wouldn't let me go even if I asked and I don't mind. I've missed him so damn much.

"Guys!"

I turned around to the source. There was Diana and Alpha Garrett walking towards us.

Alpha Garrett had blood splattered across his chest while Diana was only in a blood soaked oversized shirt.

I'm not even gonna ask what happened seeing as her body was not littered in any bruises or scratches.

"Diana?" I asked in concern. Her eyes just suddenly widened and her body had became stiff.

Alpha Garrett was confused as well and looked at Diana and back to us, then Diana again.

He smiled and ran towards her picking her up in a bear hug.

"Oh my baby girl I'm so happy for you!"

What the hell? What did he s- Trent! He was standing as stiff as Diana was except he had a look of lust while hers was a look of "what the fuck".

"They're mates." Maddox's voice whispered into my ear. James and Genesis slapped Trent on the back in pride. I'm also happy for him. He's been waiting for so long, poor thing. I could see it in his sheepish smile how happy he was.

Alpha Garrett finally let Diana down yet she still stood in her shocked form. Trent made a move towards her cautiously, scared that she was gonna run away. When he was finally close to her all he did was smile and hold out his hand.

"I'm Trent." He said. His eyes took in all of her face and her hair despite it being coated in blood. Whatever daze Diana was in seemed to disappear as he hand came up to meet his.

"Aww, you guys are so cute." I cooed at the new mate couple. Diana stuck her tongue out at me while Trent gave me the bird.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah cute my ass. Hurt my niece and I will chop your balls off then feed them to the desperate rogues I can find." Alpha Garrett grunted at Trent.

Laughter filled the air as well as our happiness. It's all over and we can finally go home.
