"Alright, now that your hair appointment is finished we need to do your makeup." Genesis said after I got into the car.

After Maddox and I's pillow fight we decided to call a truce and I went to get my hair done. I was so tired of braiding it every night so I decided to get my go to style which were box braids. I got all black hair instead of trying an ombré. I know he said wear something casual but I still want to see his jaw drop when I come out wearing my clothes.

I already decided on an outfit to wear. I got this cute jumpsuit that's strapless and loose with black and white stripes. Genesis let me borrow these black sandals she had in her closet that wrap around your big toe and upper foot.

"So, you and Maddox gonna tie the knot yet?" Genesis asked as we drove back home.

I guess we've been so busy with Veronica nowadays that we haven't focused much on us. Plus with everything somewhat back to normal, Maddox has been going with James to do pack work everyday for a long period of time.

I know saying that I'm upset about it is unfair because this is his— well our pack. With him being beta I can't imagine how hard it is to manage his personal life.

"Actually, we haven't talked about that." I said.

Genesis must've picked up the vibe. After a while we finally drove into the driveway and parked the car. Just as I touched the handle to get out Genesis stopped me.

I turned and looked.

"I'm sorry if I made this awkward by asking you that question. I didn't mean anything by it." Concern was written all over her face.

I didn't mean for her to take it as me being angry or upset with her.

"No, no. You didn't make me upset. It's just- with everything that happened recently we haven't had any time to ourselves. I'm really trying to see his side of all this since he has it harder. He's beta and I, being his mate, and you were both kidnapped. I just wish we had a day to ourselves." I said. I felt my mood lighten because I finally let it out. I've been feeling like this for days. Every day Maddox has to run out and I was stuck at home.

Throughout those days I missed being in his arms, hearing his voice, hell just hearing him sneeze would make me feel whole. Just knowing he was right there and close to me was enough. I was so excited to see him I'd literally rush him through the door and we'd end up on the floor or in the shower together.

"Girl I hear you. Even though I work with James with paperwork and such, I would just love to have a couple days with just him and I."

Genesis said with a ghost smile. It was that exact moment that I came up with a plan.

"Hey! Maybe we can all take a trip somewhere. All of us just get away for a couple of days, let's pack and go!" I exclaimed throwing my arms in the air.

Genesis and I got out of the car and made our way to her room.

"Even though that sounds so tempting, what are we gonna do about the pack?" Genesis asked before opening her door and getting the makeup ready.

"What do you mean?" I asked taking both my shirt and pants off then putting a robe on.

"With the whole line of demand gone, who's gonna watch over the pack?" She asked. My eyes trailed on her walking back and forth from the bathroom to her vanity.

Crap I didn't think about that...

"How about we just do something with the whole pack? We talk to the guys about putting in three day breaks for everyone who has a working position in the pack and then see how that goes. If its gonna be too much for James and Maddox to get up on paper work and stuff then we'll see about something else." Genesis said.
