Saturday: it was a game night for more than one team. Daniel would be playing Football and I would be playing Witch. It was the night everyone had trained for. Daniel trained by running laps and throwing the football around with his team. I had trained by going over the plan with Ivelyn, Mir, and Kate.

It was the night we were going to save Kellie Jones, who ironically seemed to be the only person not going to the game tonight. I didn't blame her, the Football players didn't show up at the track meets.

My doorbell rang, which should have been Addie. I gave myself a one over before I left. I was wearing all black, which wasn't that unusual. I wore a black long sleeve that clung to my skin and black leggings with my Doc Martins. They weren't the best running shoes, but they were good for kicking shins if we needed it. I didn't wear any makeup and my scarlet hair was pulled into a high ponytail.

I ran downstairs, almost running into Dara.

"Calm down, it's just a Football game." She sneered. I almost laughed, but I was too freaked out that she might be a Witch too. I didn't say anything.

I yanked open the door, coming face to face with Erik. Next to him, was Addie, full in purple clad. She wasn't cosplaying, purple was her favorite color. She had a pixie cut purple wig on, purple makeup, purple tank top with a wrap that was a light shimmering purple color and galaxy spandex pants. As I raised an eyebrow, Addie explained.

"Mike bailed, but Erik can take us." She put up her hands, already knowing my reaction. "And yes I know, I deserve better." She groaned. I didn't comment on Mike bailing, just shut the door behind me. The air felt thick like it knew something was about to go down.

We piled into Erik's car and headed to the Football game. I tried to focus on the car ride, but my mind was racing. I wasn't scared. I was just very aware of the plan. I needed to find any errors in it. Based on the moon we had about an hour before Kellie's murder. Well, she wasn't going to get murdered. Jeez, I wasn't good with tenses.

"Corn," Erik breathed out. He had parked the car but was looking at me from the rear view mirror. I met his gaze, falling into those mesmerizing eyes. "Are you sure you--

"I'll be okay. I have everything under control." I told myself more than I was telling him. Plus, I felt guilty involving Erik into this mess. He obviously didn't want people to know for a reason and I was trying my best to respect that. I nearly ripped my seat belt off, rushing out of the car. Reluctantly, he got out of the car and followed Addie and me to the bleachers.

"So, what am I supposed to tell Daniel if you're not back at the end of the game?" Addie asked, looping her arm through mine. It hadn't dawned on me that this might happen. My blank expression gave her the answer. "Okay, gotcha I'll make something up. You know I work best on the fly." She quickly added. The back of my thought was dry and I couldn't laugh.

"You're not and you know that," Erik's voice boomed from the other side of Addie. She stuck her tongue out at him, causing him to cross his arms over his chest. "However," he gestured towards himself. "I am quite good under pressure." He gave me a thumbs up. By this time we were heading up the bleachers. I needed to take some photos with them -- for proof. The hard part was going to be leaving without Daniel seeing me leave.

The three of us posed for about five photos, at this point the pep rally was about half over. My phone buzzed, it was Ivelyn. They were here: it's time. My heart pumped: thump, thump, thump, ricocheting in my ribs and reverberating throughout my body, up to my ears. I knew I needed to walk down the bleachers and go find them, but I felt frozen.

"Corn?" It was Addie and she tried to shake me. I blinked, breaking from the spell.

"Sorry, I'm just spacing out." Neither of them looked convinced. "They're here, I have to go." Their faces told me I didn't have to go, but I knew I personally did have to go. Kellie was my responsibility. I had seen her murder and I was going to see to it it was stopped.
