You hear a voice call out to you and multiple footsteps following you close behind. There's a door up ahead, but you're sure this was the way you came. Regardless, you burst through the door, into the freezing air. You keep running, adrenaline rushing through your body, pushing you further and faster. You realize there was no wall or fence in front of you as you ran.

You had left the city.

You race across the stony ground, almost falling a couple times. You never dare to look back, you know the people were still behind you. You keep running for a while, the adrenaline keeping you going much longer than you normally could go. You soon find yourself racing along the edge of the mouth of a Trench. Another group of the people are waiting up ahead. You have nowhere to go. You skid to a halt, your own red cloak still rushing forward. You turn to race back but the first group of people have you almost surrounded completely. They have torches in their hands and their faces are grim, and eyes full of hatred. This must be the Banditos Nico was talking about.

The wind blows and your hood falls off, revealing your fearful E/C eyes and wild H/L, H/C hair. Worry is evident in your eyes as they dart between each group of the Tape People. Once they see your face they relax a little bit; you hear a few gasps. One of them holds up his hand and steps forward to you. He gently sets down his torch and tries to approach you. You only back up more towards the Trench cliffs edge. He stops in his tracks as he notices this. He holds up his hands in saying that he doesn't want to hurt you. You glance back at the cliffs edge and took the tiniest of steps back, causing a few rocks and pebbles to fall. He tries to say something from under his bandana, but the wind whisks his voice away.

You look confusingly at the Tape Man before taking another small step back. The Tape Peoples' eyes go a little wide as they take a step back themselves. So does the Tape Man. You turn towards the edge of the cliff, glancing down. You try to see if there's a way down. There's a ledge you could jump down to, and then climb down the rest of the way using a natural path. You glance back at the Tape People. The Banditos. You whip your head around and almost take the final step to drop down to the ledge when a voice speaks up, clear and full of worry. It was feminine.

"Wait! Don't jump! Please listen to me!"

You whip your head around to see a woman pull down her own cammo bandana and take her hood off, and setting her torch down. She motions for the man to step back and he does. You were still panicking but the tone of her voice holds you in your place. She stops halfway between the crowd of Banditos and your frightened figure.

"Hey, it's okay, we're not going to hurt you." She approaches slowly.

The tone of voice and words and her actions remind you of Nico. Your heart is beating hard in your chest, your hands shake in fear and your knees wobble as well. The freezing wind whips your hair and cloak around. The woman keeps coming closer until you finally speak out.

"Don't come any closer!" You yell, causing the woman to freeze in her spot.

You need to choose your next moves wisely, god knows what they will do to you. What if they get their hands on you? They will torture you, beat you up, leave you for dead, they can just kill you.

You wait a while in silence before whipping around and dropping to the ledge below and racing down the path into the Trench. The woman shouts for you to come back and the Banditos take after you.

You sprint into the chasm, not looking back. Your heart is racing as thoughts of what they could do race through your head, the only one standing out was to get the hell out of there. Everything inside you screams to run faster. A familiar sound makes its way through the Trench.

Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!

Nicos' horse's footfalls echo through the Trench, causing you to look behind, instantly regretting it. You push yourself to run even faster. The Banditos notice Nico's presence and some of them, including the man and the woman, scramble down the sides of the Trench to stop Nico. You don't see what they're trying to do and panic even more, thinking they're going to catch you. Your cloak is flowing behind you and Nico reaches out and grasps it, pulling, and causing you to fall into the freezing glacier water. The cloak rips right off your shoulders as you scramble up to your feet and try to run. Nico pulls his grey horse in front of you, causing you to skid to a stop. The Banditos are spread out throughout the Trench.

"Y/N! We need to get you back home. These Banditos are dangerous! They took you away! Now, c'mon, let's go back." He tries to soothe.

"N-no..." you barely squeak.

"What? Could you say that a bit louder?" His voice starts to lower like it does when he's angry.

"No."

"I'm a little deaf in this ear I could have sworn you just said "no"." He mocks angrily.

"I said no!" You scream, shutting your eyes in fear for his reaction.

It isn't a smart move as his blackened hand makes contact with the side of your head, knocking you down into the glacier water. A couple of the Banditos flinch at this. The man starts towards you two. Nico had already dropped off his horse and proceeds to grab the back of your neck, forcing you up and making you crumple into the forceful touch.

The first man pushes past the woman, but she grabs him and holds him back, in fear he could get hurt, but when Nico yells and hits you again, she's the one to come forward. The man tries to stop her, but she dodges his grasp. She walks up to Nico and punches him in the side of his head, causing his hood to fall and making him let go of you in surprise. She kicks the back of his knee, making him crumple into the glacier water. She then proceeds to grab his horse and urge you on as Nico was struggling to get up in the freezing water. You vault onto the horse and she holds the reins and quickly leads you away as the other Banditos surround Nico.

There are flickers of red in the distance of the Trench. Your heart starts to beat faster and you try to get your stunned form to pull the reins out of her grip from on top of the horses back. She finally notices the bishops and spins the horse around and goes the other way. She calls out to the other Banditos to clear out. They all quickly realize the other bishops are making their way to them. They all scurry away up the sides of the trench.

The woman hops on the horse and sits behind you, taking the reins and shielding you. She urges the horse into a gallop, but the other bishops still quickly catch up to you two. The woman let go of the reins, giving them to you, and raises herself on top of the horse and takes out a bishop riding right beside you two. She takes control over his horse and the two of you speed further into the Trench.

The other bishops have stop to help Nico and the other fallen bishop. Only two remain, catching up to you two. He is trailing behind you and the woman.

She looks at you and mouths, "Do you trust me?". You understand and give her a shy nod.

She leads her horse to the opposite side of the Trench than the Banditos, and starts to lead the last bishop away from them. You both exit the Trench, leading the last bishop away from the others. The woman is in front of you, and the bishop is on your tail.

The bishop reaches out to you and you try to dodge. The bishop manages to drag you off your horse, nearly trampling you in the process. You cry out in surprise as the bishop circles around after slowing down enough. He comes forward and tries to grab you again and pull you on to his horse. The woman, however, skids to a stop and swings her horse around and races to intercept the bishops grasp. Her horse misjudges the distance between the two and the woman's horse crashes into the bishops, knocking the bishop off. She circles back and grabs you, hoisting you up onto her horse behind her. You grab onto her, holding on for dear life. The two of you take off into the distance, the bishops horses taking off into the vast world of Trench.

When you both know you've lost the bishops, the woman slows the horse down. You contemplate if going with her is a good idea. They're probably the Banditos, and Nico said they're savages. But then again, he could be lying, after all, he did almost kill you. You think this over for a good long while. You notice you're still holding onto the woman tightly when she starts to giggle at how terrified you are. You decide then and there what you're going to do.
