Chapter Ten: Poppy and Jack

Poppy's P.O.V.

I groaned and rolled over as my phone rang, blasting American Girl by 5SOS. I picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Hey Pip," I heard my dad say. I grinned.

"Hey dad! Happy birthday!" He chuckled, thanking me. My phone beeped signaling I had another car and I sighed.

"Daddy I got to go," I said. He said okay and we hung up and I answered the other call.

"Hello?"

"Hi Poppy, it's Jack. From the hospital. Do you want to hang out today?" My wolf squealed inside me.

"Sure Jack, I just have to ask my luna." I hopped down the stairs and knocked on Ever's door.

"Come in!" She yelled. I opened the door and she was sitting on the bed with a book.

"Can I hang out with Jack today?" She nodded and I squealed.

"Have fun Poppy!" She yelled as I pranced out. I ran into my best friend Pepper on the way there and told her the news.

"I HAVE TO HELP YOU PICK OUT YOUR OUTFIT!" She screeched, pulling me to my room. She opened my closet doors and started throwing things out onto the floor until she came across my black jeans, flower tank top, and red converse.

"Perfect!" She squealed, pushing them into my hands. She went to my jewelry next, taking out my black diamond earrings and my dream catcher necklace.

"Okay, now go get dressed and then I'll do your hair!" I rolled my eyes. She was taking this wayyy to seriously. I mean it's just hanging out.. right?

Jack's P.O.V.

"Jaxx!" I yelled to my beta. He ran in, out of breath.

"Yes sir?" He said, breathing heavily.

"I need help picking out an outfit. I'm hanging out with my mate toda-" I was cut off by him throwing clothes around.

"Aha!" He pulled out a black dress shirt and my white skinny jeans and my red converse.

"Now get dressed dude!" I rolled my eyes and walked into my bathroom, getting dressed. Jaxx walked in behind me and styled my hair in the back.

"You look great Jack. Now go get your mate!" I whooped and rushed to my Mercedes.

Poppy's P.O.V.

Pepper finished my hair and I had to admit I looked pretty damn good. A beep sounded from outside and I looked out to see a Mercedes in the driveway. I walked downstairs and out the door, and got into the passenger seat. Jack kissed my hand and handed me a rose and I blushed. We drove a while until we reached a small restaurant. Jack got out and opened my door and I blushed. He led me to the door and opened it. I looked around and it was so pretty. We walked up to a stand and waited to be served. My wolf was howling inside me. We made our way to a table and we sat down across from each other. A waitress came over and eyed Jack.

"What can I get you two?" Her French accent gave me shivers.

"I'll have a coke and Poppy will have an apple martini," Jack said. That's exactly what I wanted. Was he reading my mind or something? She looked over at me and scoffed. I rolled my eyes and looked back over at Jack.

"I'll have the lasagna please. Poppy?" I looked up.

"Oh, I'll have the shrimp scampi," I said, handing her my menu. She rubbed her fingers against Jack's arm as she walked away to get our drinks. I growled and he looked at me. The waitress came our way and he grabbed me and kissed me. I kissed him back and the sparks flew and god damn. She slammed our drinks on the table and walked away. I pulled away, giggling. I heard her requesting a different table and I was full out laughing. About ten minutes later our food came and we ate it in record time, paying and leaving. We drove back to the house, our hands linked between us. When we arrived I grabbed my rose and jumped out. I noticed Jack getting out too and I walked to him.

"I had a great time Jack," I said, kissing his cheek. He pulled me against him and kissed me. Sparks flew. Fireworks were set off in my mouth. We both pulled away, breathless.

"Poppy, will you go out with me?" He asked me. I nodded. We kissed again.

"Jack," I said, pulling away. He just nodded and I walked inside. I grabbed a small vase and put the rose beside my bed. Pepper ran in and landed upside down on my bed.

"Soooo?" I laughed.

"It was great! I have a boyfriend Pepper!" She squealed.

"Dude! That's great!" Someone said in the doorway. I looked up and saw Sam and Ever standing in the doorway. They say and we started the story of my date.

Jack's P.O.V.

I walked into my house, setting my keys on the table.

"Alpha!" I heard Jaxx yell. I looked up the stairs and there he was. Typical.

"Soooo?" He whined, walking down to me.

"She's mine Jaxxy!" He screamed and hugged me.

"Dude awesome!" This is the happiest I've ever been in my whole entire life and I don't want it to change.
