Chapter 15: School day in hell

Dereck's P.O.V.

I walked down the hallway confidently, passing Jaxx and Jack in my stride. My hair was spiked up and dark blue. My demon was in control for today and my eyes were glowing gold. Jaxx ran up behind me and grabbed me by the shoulder. I whipped around, my gold eyes bore into his greenish blue ones. Something snapped inside of me and I pushed him against the lockers, attacking his neck. Moans escaped his lips as I licked and sucked his neck. My friend Hart pulled me back away from him and I admired my handiwork. There were hickies covering Jaxx's neck and I smiled. I walked away, leaving Jaxx and Hart where they stood, walking to the art room. As Kacy and Jack joined me at the table, I watched Jaxx walk in. He looked at me whimpering and I sniffed the air and snickered. I had triggered his heat. All the alphas surrounded him when we had to pair up for partners and I growled lowly at all of them, and they stepped away from Jaxx. I sat down next to him, my wolf and demon dueling deep in my heart. We began drawing animals we think would fit us both, and I drew Jaxx as a baby fox. He still wasn't finished with mine, and I was clueless to what he was drawing. Then I realized he did not draw an animal, but us mating. I took the picture quickly and he began drawing an actual animal, a wolf to be precise. I smiled at him gently, the picture burning in my pocket. The teacher came around and collected our papers, and the bell rang. I gathered my stuff and walked out. Jaxx's hand latched onto my backpack and I led him to the roof.

"Wait here."

I growled, walking back down the stairs. I latched the door behind me, locking it and putting the key around my neck. I grabbed my weed out of my bag along with my lighter and I ran back to the roof, locking the door behind me. I rolled a blunt for me and Jaxx and we sat on the roof together, him in between my legs most of the time. I knew we couldn't go back downstairs smelling of weed, so I lowered myself down to the fire escape and he jumped into my arms. We walked down the fire escape together and when we reached the bottom we jumped into my car and drove to the pack house. I knew I shouldn't be driving on drugs but really it makes me stress free so I drove better. When we got home, Ever was asleep on the couch and Luke peeked his head out of the kitchen and shushed our giggling.

"Man, you guys reek,"

He said, as we walked past. I giggled as Jaxx and I walked up the stairs, parting ways to go into our rooms. Once I came down from my high my senses came back to me and when I heard the word STOP very loud next door to me, my wolf took over and I kicked the door open. Our strongest alpha besides Parker Felix was over Jaxx, trying to bite him. I shoved him away and growled, climbing into bed with Jaxx and taking him into my arms. He reeked of Felix and weed, and I rubbed my cheek against him. Felix got the picture and left, grumbling. Jaxx looked up at me and smiled. I kissed his forehead and he fell back against me asleep. Man, being in love is great.
