Very quickly the eight mavericks that Jack had sent arrived at their locations, each one sending a reporting signal to Jack to let him know that they had arrived. Once that had been done, they all focused energy and let loose the cocktail of viruses that Jack had infected them with. Very soon, humans, animals, almost all organic material surrounding the mavericks was quickly transformed accordingly and it wasn't long before crazy reploids and mechaniloids rampaged around the Earth, with no viable way to stop them. Bullets, tank shells, missiles, everything that the humans threw, but nothing could stop these mavericks from wreaking havoc on the whole planet and little by little, human resistance began to crumble as the viruses that the bunch had released began to influence them. It wasn't long before mavericks had ensnared most of the world's security and humans fell into a state of mass panic, except for one family. This sole family was the only house in their neighborhood that remained untouched by the viruses.

"Christine! Gabriella! You be careful now!" A voice calls out.

"We will mom!" The voices known as Christine and Gabriella reply. Christine was a teenager much like Jack, with her sister Gabriella being only a few years younger than her. Both of them sported long brown hair but Gabriella's hair was straight as opposed to Christine's wavy hair. Their family remained human while others around them suffered and transformed into crazy reploids. Christine and Gabriella only peeked outside for a few seconds to see what had happened and quickly shut the door so nothing got in. The two then accessed their computer for a few seconds, and then it suddenly shut off.

"Huh? Why's the computer not working?" Gabriella asks.

"I have no idea." Christine replies. When Gabriella switches the computer's monitor back on again it reveals not the home screen but the layout of some sort of futuristic base. Walking towards it was what seemed like a human girl. What shocked the girls was that she had such long brunette hair that it almost touched the floor, and that was adorned with a small blue band with yellow gems. She wore lots of red and blue with traces of yellow here and there, but the way that the angle of view was positioned, the girls could clearly see that she was not human as from the leg down was obviously metal. Her hands were encased in what seemed like white gloves, her feet were also white with a black design on them as if wearing ballet flats and on her head was a red beret.

"Can you hear me?" The reploid girl asks.

"...Yes." Gabriella replies.

"Good. I can hear you from here as well. I must introduce myself." The reploid girl replies. "My name is Iris, and I'm what's called a reploid."

"So wait... Are you good or bad?" Gabriella replies. "I've seen some bad reploids outside!"

"Oh those guys are like me but they've gone crazy. We call them mavericks." Iris explains. "And it looks like this one maverick we've been going after is trying to stop us from forming in the first place by sending these mavericks into your world. His name is Sigma." And a picture of the aforementioned maverick pops up. He is bald and has two scars over his eyes. "We've been trying to destroy this guy for Cain knows how long, but he just doesn't stay dead!"

"So you're the good guys over there?" Christine asks.

"Yep. Your era's weapons won't work on reploids so that's the problem. I'm just a navigator for the maverick hunters, a group of reploids dedicated to destroying these mavericks." Iris replies. "Initially I worked with a similar group called Repliforce, but something happened that I really don't want to go into detail to and I wound up here."

"So how come you've contacted us?" Christine asks. That's when another reploid enters the screen. He sported blond hair that was as long, if not longer than Iris' hair and sported sharp looking red and white armor, complete with a similarly colored helmet that had a blue crystal in the forehead part. Sticking out from his back was a handle to some sort of saber.

"Hello humans. I'm Zero." The reploid known as Zero says.

"Wait as in the number zero?" Gabriella blurts out naively. Iris suddenly bursts into laughter.

"No no no it's how you spell zero you little goofball." Zero replies, chuckling. "Don't worry, I've gotten that a lot. Anyways..." Zero says, getting serious. Iris recomposes herself in that meantime. "I've been talking to our commander and he says that he trusts you two enough to deal with the maverick threat in your era." Christine's jaw drops.

"Wait... US?!" Christine asks. A third reploid enters the screen. He is wearing all blue armor and has a red crystal on the forehead part of his helmet. If he had any hair it was concealed under said helmet. One of his hands is gone and in it's place is an arm cannon.

"I'm X." The blue reploid known as X says.

"Like the letter X?" Gabriella blurts out again. Iris has to leave the screen because she is laughing so hard.

"I-I'm sorry I can't help it!" Iris says between laughs. "This girl is too FUNNY!!!" Zero can't help but laugh as well.

"This is going to be a long day." Zero chuckles, patting X's back. "Don't mind her."

"I won't." X replies, snickering a little bit, and it's not long before everyone starts laughing. After a few seconds everyone recomposes themselves and they all get serious again. "Anyways you got that right um... Is it Gabriella?"

"Yes." Gabriella replies.

"Anyways, Zero and I have been perfecting capsules that contain data for our armor." X explains, pointing to himself and Zero. "You'll become half-human, half-reploid in a sense as the armor will shield you from blows that would normally kill an ordinary human. It doesn't mean you're nigh invulnerable but it will give you a huge advantage against the maverick threat."

"Who's the swordswoman of the two of you?" Zero asks, and Christine raises her hand. "The capsule containing the data for our armor is color coordinated. Enter the red one to receive the data for my armor."

"And enter the blue one to receive the data for my armor." X finishes. "You'll also receive our weapons as well. Aaaaaaand transporting!" It's not long before Christine and Gabriella's parents walk in and see the capsules phase in.

"What's this?" They ask, gobsmacked at the scene before them.

"Oh are they your parents?" X asks, and Christine and Gabriella nod. X and Zero then focus their attention on mom and dad. "Come close, we have much to explain."
