Friendly Visit

While Gabriella goes under antivirus treatment for the Zero virus that infected her, back at Jack's base, something evil is stirring.

"Wait, you're telling me the Sigma virus merged?" Jack asks Havannah.

"Yep. The end result is a resemblance to Zero, one of the maverick hunters." Havannah replies.

"Interesting. I need to get Sigma for this." Jack says as Sigma pops up on the computer monitor.

"You called?" Sigma asks.

"Some of your viruses merged. We've completely lost the nightmare virus thanks to it's concentration allowing the hunters to destroy it without a sweat, but the other two merged into what we're dubbing the Zero virus." Jack explains.

"Now that is strange... Why would it turn into Zero?" Havannah asks.

"Beats me." Jack replies. "I remember you saying you just started picking it up in large numbers a few days ago, around the same time that nightmare virus traces completely vanished."

"I didn't think that virus would last too long. Considering it's that concentrated it wouldn't last too long in your world without getting destroyed like that." Sigma replies. "But I'm picking up crazy amounts of virus in here. What have you been doing?"

"I got my butt whupped by the hunters in this era so I'm being turned into a mobile virus bomb." Vile replies as he joins the conversation.

"A... Virus bomb?" Sigma asks.

"The one time he was sent out a charged shot knocked him out of commission. Cannon's totaled, missile pack could backfire on him if we don't fix that, and we can't, and overall he's just a hobbling mess. That's why we're infecting him with a huge amount of viruses." Jack explains. "We've noticed that one of the hunters, the red one, goes completely beserk whenever she gets infected with a virus so I thought "Hey, what if we infect her enough to turn her against the other hunters?" and we still had Vile around so I thought why not?"

"I might not appreciate how Vile's being used but given the circumstances, it sounds like a good idea." Sigma replies. "When I used to be a hunter I made sure everyone under my wing had a purpose. Even if they were awaiting recovery because something had blown off a limb I made sure they weren't left out so I see where you're going with this."

"You only chose the best to lead this maverick army." Jack replies. "I will never not be able to please. Vile will be sent out alongside Havannah and he only has one objective- lose to the red hunter and let the infection process do it's thing."

"I picked the right guy then. If everything goes well, I, no, WE shall rule the planet!" Sigma cackles as Jack and Havannah join in on the laughfest. Meanwhile at Christine's base...

"That should do the trick." Sara says as the antivirus does it's work on Gabriella. She's slowly recovering but the Zero virus is clearly one that you shouldn't mess with as Gabriella struggles to move around.

"Man, whoever's doing this is going to pay! Nobody messes with my sister like that and gets away with it..." Christine grumbles, punching her fists together.

"Hey, take it easy Christine. I know it's your sister but save it for the mavericks we're going after." Sara says and Christine huffs.

"Alright. I'm just hoping she makes a full recovery. If she doesn't I'm finding out who's the head honcho of all these mavericks and pull him off to the side for a talk involving me and my saber." Christine says. That's when she looks at the screen and notices something off. "There are maverick readings coming from... The Chang Gung... I think the mavericks are trying to cut off human health support. I'll go check it out." Christine says as she teleports out.
