The Head Honcho

After that long outburst, Gabriella hugs Christine tight.

"Hey Christine... You okay?" Gabriella asks.

"Yeah... I think so... I just lost someone really close to me so..." Christine replies.

"Well, we don't have too much time. We need to stop Jack before he rebuilds anything else." Gabriella replies. "Come on Christine, we need to keep fighting, for Sara."

"You're right. Let's do this." Christine says, wiping away the last of her tears and standing tall once more. Iris comes over the intercom.

"What happened?" Iris asks.

"Christine and I were forced to kill Sara." Gabriella replies. "I had to help out Christine because she broke down over it."

"I'm alright now though, don't worry." Christine says.

"Alright, I'm detecting more activity so good luck down there." Iris replies as the two hunters charge forward and see four more resurrected mavericks in the next room.

"Rocket Baller, Bow Blader, Skillet Master, Nocturnal Maiden... They're all back! But they won't be back for long!" Christine shouts.

"I got this, don't worry." Gabriella says.

"Hey! Don't leave me out of the action!" Christine says as they both charge at the remaining robot masters. Christine splits her saber into twin blades and dices up Rocket Baller while Gabriella fires her glitch shot and causes Bow Blader to destroy herself. When those two have been dealt with, Gabriella's ghost shot blows a hole through Skillet Master's head and Christine ignites her saber, burning Nocturnal Maiden to a crisp.

"Well that deals with the mavericks here, but where's Jack? We destroyed everyone in here." Gabriella says, scanning the room. That's when Christine notices that something is off.

"We need to head outside, perhaps we'll see Jack out there." Christine says, ushering Gabriella to head outside, and with that the two hunters head outside to see none other than Jack himself!

"Jack!" Gabriella shouts. Jack has changed drastically. He wears lots of red and black, has two scars over his eyes and has a cape of sorts.

"So you've arrived." Jack says.

"Why have you been doing this?!" Christine asks. "You've almost destroyed the entire world with your antics!"

"Why, I'm only looking to become the next Sigma." Jack laughs. "Did you really think I was just doing this for the heck of it?"

"You're not Jack anymore! You've killed so many innocent people, some of which you turned into your slaves! You're nothing but a maverick now!" Christine screams.

"So let me be called that then? I'm only forwarding the rule of the reploids!" Jack shouts back as he throws off his cape! Jack reveals that he has wolverine-style plasma claws much like Sara, and he charges!

"WATCH OUT!!!" Christine shouts as Jack goes for a slash, and Gabriella just avoids the attack as Jack teleports himself on top of Christine and he dives! Jack drives his claws into the ground where Christine once stood and rips them out to fire off energy waves!

"Jack's gone completely beserk!" Gabriella shouts. "Let me see if I can tie him up!" But when Gabriella fires the octave clef, Jack simply slashes it to pieces, rendering the attack useless.

"Your cheap weapon stealing tricks aren't working on me!" Jack shouts as he charges towards Christine, vanishes, and then does a series of teleporting slashes, leaving hundreds of slash marks all over Christine's body! "Try THAT on for size!"

"Christine!" Gabriella shouts as she fires a fully charged shot. Jack sees it coming though and he destroys the shot with one good slash.

"You girls are useless against me! And I took out the swordfighter of you two!" Jack cackles, but Christine is far from done as she brings out her scythe, ignites it, and throws it at Jack. The scythe drives itself into Jack's chest and he lets out an agonized roar! "You're not dead yet?!"

"I'm far from done with you!" Christine shouts as she gets up, retrieves her scythe and reforms it back into her normal Z-saber before splitting it in two. What ensues is a mad contest on who can inflict the most damage.

"DIE!" Jack screams, but he is quickly met with a kick to the face and Gabriella blasts him with another fully charged shot! This one hits it's mark and Jack begins sparking. "GAH! How?!"

"Did we do it?" Gabriella asks.

"I don't think so, I think he's got something else up his sleeve." Christine replies.

"Gah..." Jack grumbles, struggling to stand. "You... Really think I'm done... After all this fighting?"

"Uh oh..." Gabriella says to herself.

"...You girls... Thought wrong..." Jack snickers as a nearby house explodes, revealing a giant robot with an equally giant gun. Another house releases a giant head that floats around with no known method of propulsion. "Once I transfer myself into that gunner... I will be invincible!" Jack laughs. "I merged with the viruses and have become one myself! I have Sigma to thank... For that!"

"No! He's turned himself into a virus?!" Gabriella shouts.

"It'll all be over when I'm done with you!" Jack cackles as his body explodes in a great ball of fire and something emerges from Jack's body. It resembles a wire frame head of Jack, and it is completely red. Gabriella tries to shoot Jack in his virus form but it does no good as he enters the gunner and it's eyes glow.

"TREMBLE WITH TERROR! YOU ARE FINISHED!!!" The gunner screams in Jack's voice as Christine and Gabriella look onward with horrified looks on their faces.

"...That can't be good..." Christine and Gabriella say to each other.
