The Coffin was floating in the ocean. Inside it was Able, who's body was regenerating. Whilst floating a fishing ship spotted it and went over to investigate. Curious yet excited to see if it would be worth of value. They hitched it up and pulled it up to the ship's deck.
The fishing crew went over to it but the captain stopped them."Easy, you don't wanna break anything that's in there."
The captain made the crew back up. One of them spoke
"Maybe its Egyptian? Roman?"
The captain looked at the coffin and thought for a second.
"Being me the archaeologist."
The captain ordered a crew member to grab the archaeologist. They came back and the archaeologist studied it.
"Hm.. Ancient Sumerian, Very, very rare. But I don't remember them making coffins."
The captain went over and began to get impatient.
"Let's just open it up already!-"
The archaeologist stopped him
"No, let it dry first. Get it someplace safe where it can't be damaged. If it's valuable we'll split the pay equally among us all."
The captain pulled out a gun and pulled back the pin aiming at the Archaeologist.
"I have other ideas. We get the money and you don't."
The archaeologist nervously chuckled not wanting to get shot.
"You'll just succumb to mutiny. Your men are just as greedy as you captain. Plus you can't get rid of me. If you try to bring it ashore the government will take it."
The captain lowered the gun.
"Let's just wait till we get to shore before we make any financial decisions. Right boys?"
The crew agreed.
A group helped move the heavy coffin."Listen, this belongs in a museum. We might not even get any money from it. I'm here so that we can get at least something. Savvy?"
The captain scoffed at the archaeologist.
"Your humility won't get you far lad. I still don't see why we can't open it."
The captain wanted to open it. To see if it held a long lost king or royal member.
"Because it was soaked. What's inside could be at risk of being damaged if we open it."
The archaeologist tried to explain it to the captain but eventually the captain got it.
"Aye. Its going to be awhile till we get to America. Let's store it safe."
The archaeologist agreed.
"I heard the seas good. We can probably catch some good fish. Rare fish even."
The archaeologist looked out at the water.
"Maybe we'll get another coffin."
The captain joked and the archaeologist chuckled.
"Yeah. Maybe. I'm gonna fish."
The archaeologist went to get a fishing rod and the captain went to his quarters.
The Archaeologist took notes in his journal. He had seen many things but the coffin was definitely something new for once. Not just some old cracked pot or vase. Something big.
He casted the hook towards the sea. The crisp breeze flowing through his dirty blond hair."I swear. I'm always at gun point."
The Archaeologist muttered. Suddenly he felt something snag on the hook and he began to reel in. It began to resist and he reeled back harder. He pulled back and eventually pulled a huge saltwater spearfish on board.
"God damn, this is a big one."
He crouched down and lifted it up with his knees. It was heavy for sure. He brought it to the ship's cook and set it on the table. The cook was impressed and thanked him in Japanese. The archaeologist nodded and left.
The Archaeologist continued to fish for a bit before it became sundown. He got up and packed his fishing gear away. He went to his quarters and locked the door behind him. He went and took a shower and after a few minutes finished and dried off. He went to his desk and began to write about his findings before he eventually fell asleep while writing.
