The weekend went by fast. After the team came back from their missions, the tower went back to being full of life, and Shuri and you kept working on your treatment, making a lot of progress as usual. Peter hadn't called you back again, so thanks to that you were able to spend the weekend without him on your mind, except a few times when you got low the second he crossed your thoughts, but Wanda, Nat, and Shuri would cheer you up. You had decided to go to school on Monday, but you still weren't sure how things would go between you and Peter. You asked Wanda for advice, and you both ended up with the conclusion that you should just try to talk to him, and according to how things went from there, maybe even forgive him.
It's Sunday night and you're getting ready for bed when you suddenly get a notification on your phone, something that hadn't happened all weekend. You quickly grab your phone and unlock it to see a text from Peter.
Peter: Hey, will I see you tomorrow?
You had to be honest, you did miss him, and you were dying to fix things between you two, so you reply:
Y/N: Yes
After that, you go to bed, letting sleep take over you as you feel the warm and comfortable mattress beneath you.

"Are you gonna talk to him, then?" Wanda asks you as you're almost at the door of the car.
"Yes, it's what's best for both of us." you say. "Besides, I miss him." you shrug your shoulders with a sad smile.
"Okay, good luck." she says, bringing you into a supportive hug. You let go, and get inside the car before Happy drives you to school.
The closer you get to school, the faster your heart beats and the more ragged your breath becomes. Once you arrive, you say bye to Happy and head to your locker, part of you wanting to see Peter and the other part of you dreading it. As you finish grabbing some books from your locker, you feel a presence behind the locker door. You roll your eyes after assuming it would be Flash. You close the door as you say:
"Hey Flash-" you say but the second you see who was really behind your locker, your annoyed expression from seconds ago turns into a surprised one. "Peter..." you whisper, still surprised, but starting to get a little sad.
"H-hey..." he stutters. "You- you came." he stutters again with a relieved smile, letting his iconic shy self take over him, making you giggle softly. This brings him a lot more relief and happiness, seeing that you weren't as angry and heartbroken as four days ago.
"Yeah, I did. I told you." you say with a sweet smile.
"Can we, umm, talk somewhere?" he says and that's when you start being nervous again.
"But we have class..." you start saying while looking around, trying to find an escape.
"So what?" he says. "This is so beyond high school. Please, y/n..." he pleads.
"Fine." you say with a sigh. You two walk in silence to the janitor's closet, knowing that was the best place to get away from the crowded hallways. You walk inside and Peter closes the door behind you. You stay in silence while looking anywhere but Peter, waiting for him to talk.
"I'm sorry." he says, looking down and you look at him, waiting for him to keep talking. You wanted to forgive him, but you wanted him to prove that it really is the right decision. "You can't even begin to imagine how sorry I am. What I did was completely naive and childish. I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions like that, and I want you to know that I really am sorry."
"I know you are." you say and he looks at you with hopeful eyes. "But you asked Liz out to homecoming because you knew that would hurt me the most, right?" you say, trying to hold back the tears that were starting to brim from your eyes.
