Sorry guys that I haven't updated in over a month. Here is another chapter! hope you guys like it. please let me know if this is stupid. I will try to make it more interesting.
Laura's POV
*later after filming*
I take out my phone and text my mom telling her I'm going to be a little bit late tonight, given the fact that I am going to be rehearsing lines with Ross at his house. She just says it's alright and to get home at a decent hour. I can usually function with no less than 7 hours of sleep, so I'll have to get home in enough time for that to happen. Or maybe I'll just stay up all night fantising about Ross. Who knows what could happen!
"Did your mom say that you could come over?" Asks Ross with a hopeful look on his face.
"No...." He looks sad, "I'm just kidding. Let's go!" I exclaim grabbing his hand and running towards the exit and to his car in the parking lot. I stand in front of the passenger side door, waiting for him to unlock it. I hear the click and I pull on the handle. We get in the car and stare at each other. I hook my phone up to the aux cord equipped in the stereo and look at him once more.
"Africa?" I ask.
"What else would we listen to?" He asks.
This is our song. We know all the words and we belt them out together every time we hear it.
"It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
I bless the rains down in Africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never haaaaaaaad."
I look at him and laugh. I love how we can good off and do funny stuff together. It makes me the happiest girl on Earth.
Ross's POV
"Ross?" Laura waves her hands in front of my face trying to get my attention. I can see them, but it doesn't register in my head, "Ross! The light's green. Go!"
"Oh jeez!" I finally realize the right is green and go driving through the intersection.
"Are you okay Ross?" She asks me with concern.
"Yeah. I'm fine. Just a lot on my mind." But I couldn't tell her what it was or she would judge me hardcore. Maybe. I honestly don't know what would happen if I just told her straight up how I was feeling. Laura I can't stop thinking about you and your beautiful face. Kissing you makes me nervous because of the feelings that I actually have towards you. And I'm afraid it will ruin the friendship we have. No. I can't tell her. At least not yet.
Laura's POV
I have been in Ross's house before but I am always baffled by how big it is when I walk through the door. It's ginormous. Well he does have 4 siblings, so I guess they could use the extra room.
He's also in a band called R5 with his siblings and a family friend. Ellington Ratliff He's probably here right now. I guess you could say he is literally part of the family. His siblings, including him have names that start with "R". The oldest if Riker. Then comes Rydel, the only girl, who is my best friend also. She let's me borrow clothes all the time, which can come in handy on dates and things, which I have never been on. I wonder how she survives with all these boys in the house. Then comes Rocky, then Ross, then Ryland, the youngest. They just used Ratliff for Elligton to go the "R" theme.
"Ready to run lines, Laur?"
Hmmmmm. A nickname. I like it.
"Sure, Rossy. Let's go." I say grabbing by the wrist and pulling him towards our usual room where we run lines together. I like the nickname he gives me. He gives me one, I give him one.
We started walking down the long stairs.
"Did you just call me Rossy?" He says as I pull him down the stairs.
"Yup. And you better get used to it."
"Cute." Is all he says but it still makes me look down and blush.
"You know. I do have many more up my sleeve. Rossybear... Rossicle..."
"You're just adorable. You know that?" He says as we get to the bottom of the stairs.
"Are you... Blushing?"
"What? No!" I say trying to hide my face.
"Laur. It's okay. I know I'm good to look at."
"Ha! You're really funny Rossy." I say chuckling as I open the door to the music room.
Ross's POV
Laura just blushed when I called her adorable. This could be a good sign. Maybe she doesn't like me back. But kody likelu not. Knowing her she'll probably want our relationship to be strictly professional. Laura opens the door to the music room and takes a seat on the love sack on the floor. Her favorite spot. I usually just sit in the office chair in front of the computer that we use for making music.
This is honestly my favorite room in the house. It's where I come when I need some peace, quiet, and serenity. It's where I come to get things off my chest when I'm stressed. I just pick up one of my many guitars and all of my troubles melt away.
Laura looks pretty stunned.
"You good?"
"Yeah. It's just no matter how many times I come in this room, I am still amazed by how many guitars there are." She says smiling at me.
"Pretty awesome right? Do you play?"
"I only know a few chords."
"Maybe I can teach you sometime. I don't know why I didn't offer before." I say to her.
"Well. Shall we start running lines?" She asks.
"I'm ready if you are." And we start running lines.
