Riker's POV

I guess Vanessa fell asleep on me because when I woke up, she had her head on my lap and my hand was rested comfortably on her hip. She is so beautiful. My hand found its way to her head. I took a chunk of hair that was in front of her face and tucked it behind her ear. Her eyes slowly opened. She looked at me and smiled.

Vanessa: Hey.

Riker: Hey beautiful.

She blushed and looked down. She's so cute. But its true. She is beautiful. She sat up and I helped her with my hand on her back.  I put my arm around her shoulder and she put her head on my chest. I rested my chin on her head and rubbed her back.

Riker: So I was wondering...

She got up and looked me in the eye.

Vanessa: Wondering what?

Riker: ... If you want to go on that date i asked you on tomorrow night.

Vanessa: of course. I would love to.

Riker: I love you Vanessa.

I lean in and press our lips together. I guess she enjoyed it because she started to deepen it. I pull away.

Riker: what time is it?

She give as me a confused look. Someone walks in. It's Laura.

Laura: its dinner time. That's what time it is.

Riker: oh well thanks. We'll be in in a minute.

After one more kiss, we make our way to the table to see Chinese takeout. Yum.

After dinner everyone went to the living and sat down on the couch. Vanessa sat down next to me of course. Everyone talked for about a half hour when Vanessa stood up.

Vanessa: babe I'm tired. I'm gonna go home.

Laura: I second that.

Ross: nooooooo...

Wow. That boy has attachment issues. Well i didn't want Vanessa to go wither, but she probably wanted to sleep in her own bed tonight.

Riker: okay. I love you.

I pull her down by her wrist and kiss her. I can feel everyone's stares, but I don't care. Ross and Laura are probably doing the same thing. I pull away and look deep into her eyes and smile. I have got to plan this date anyways. Its a surprise.

*next morning afternoon ish kind of *

Everyone was awake and down at breakfast. Apparently, i was the last one down.

Ross: sleep good?

I nodded sleepily and rubbed my eyes.

So since I asked Vanessa on that date, I decided to ask for help. Laura loved the date that we helped plan, so maybe if I get help from my siblings, it would be perfect like their first date was.

Riker: you know that date I asked Vanessa on? Yeah we are doing that tonight and I need your guy's help. I want to make it perfect.

Everyone splashed out ideas. Picnic. Bowling. A movie. None of those stuck out to me. Really? Bowling?

Riker: how about ice skating. That's can be romantic, right?

Ross: awesome idea bro!

They came up with he rest of the idea and it was all set. I called Vanessa. This girl is worth more than a text.

Phone Convo

V: hello?

R: hey baby. Its Riker.

V: I know I have caller id.

R: oh right. Haha. About that date. Shall I pick you up at 7:30?

V: perfect. See you then.

R: oh! And Rydel is going to come over and help you get dressed so you look beautiful for our first date. You're always beautiful sweetheart.

I could literally feel her blush through the phone.

V: thanks Riker. I'll see you tonight.

R: bye. I love you.

V: I love you too.
