Rinessa!
Riker's POV
Vanessa's ankle is still broken, but we finally got it switched to a boot. She can now walk around on her own, but sometimes she complains of pain. I hate to see her in pain, so I carry her. I like to carry my girlfriend. I am just glad she doesn't have to wear that cast anymore. I then hear my name being called from upstairs.
Vanessa: Riker! Will you come here please?!
I rush upstairs.
Riker: yes my love. What do you need?
Vanessa: I want to sleep on the couch. I like the couch better. Can you carry me downstairs?
Riker: of course my love.
She smiles and gets up and winces. I hate to see her in pain. She wraps her blanket around her, and forces a smile. I pick her up.
Riker: I will do anything possible to make you feel comfortable.
I kiss her head. I make my way downstairs and lay her carefully on the huge and soft couch. She snuggles into her huge blanket.
Vanessa: I always seem to sleep better when you lie with me. Can you?
Riker: why not? I love you.
Vanessa: I love you too.
Riker: I love you more.
Vanessa: nuh-uh.
Riker: yup. You can't beat how much I love you.
Vanessa: but i-
Before she could finish her sentence, I crash my lips into hers. After a few seconds, she pulls away.
Vanessa: all that matters is that we both love each other. Right?
I nod. Of course. How could I not love her? Her personality, her eyes, everything about her is amazing. I can't help but smile every time I see her. She is mine and there is no way that anyone can take her away from me. I kiss her again, just for good measure. I try to pull away, but I guess Vanessa wasn't done yet. I have no problem with that. She grabs my face and deepens the kiss. She finally lets me pull away.
Riker: kissing you is the best feeling ever.
Vanessa: there's a shiver down my spine every time.
She smiles at me and giggles. Why does she have to be so cute?
Vanessa: I'm tired.
Riker: okay babe. Come here.
I hug her in tight again and we fall asleep.
