Sorry it has been so long guys. Again, it has been a while so I am going to make Laura as far along as I have been away from this story. :) Enjoy.

Laura's POV

The doctor says I am fine, but I don't feel fine. I have this pain in my lower back, but the doctor says that the pain is normal when you are about at your due date, which I am at. In fact my due date is tomorrow. We decided to keep the gender of our baby a surprise. I am so excited to find out what it is. I am lying down in my bed, trying to find a comfortable position, but that is nearly impossible to find. I give up and just walk downstairs. Ross had woken up before me and made a little breakfast. The babies are still fast asleep. Thank the heavens above. I lie down on the couch. My favorite spot in the house. The pain in my back is just so intense that I can hardly breathe. I heard from other people that this could be labor, but I don't want to believe it. It could be false labor. It could be the real thing, but I don't know.

"Ross?" I say.

"Yeah?"

"I am in a lot of pain." I admit.

"Do you want me to call my mom?" he asks.

"Yes please."

He hurries and gets his phone and calls Stormie. He puts it on speaker so I can hear.

"Hey mom."

"Hey sweetie. What's up?"

"Well Laur has had some really severe back pain. What do we do?"

"Well it could be labor. I would recommend going and getting checked. I had to do that with you Ross. It ended up being actual labor and I had to stay in the hospital."

"Well  if that's what you recommend, I think we should." says Ross.

"I think so, too." I say.

"Rydel and I could watch the babies while you go. You don't have to worry about them."

"Thanks mom. We will be over in a little bit."

We had packed our hospital bag about a week ago in case something like this came about. And now that it has, we are prepared. Ross hurries and gets the car packed so we can leave. Ross has to also go and get the babies. I can't carry a baby right now because of the pain that I am in. I chill in the passenger seat, waiting for Ross to get in the driver's seat.

"Are you okay?" asks Ross.

"As good as I'll ever be. Just please be careful. Watch out for bumps in the road."

"Alright." he says.

We soon get to Ross's old house and Stormie and Rydel come and get the babies out of the car.

"Thank you so much Stormie. I really appreciate it."

"No problem Laura. They are in good hands." she replies.

I didn't get to kiss my babies. That's okay. I can do it when I get back from the hospital. Ross comes out and gets in the driver's seat.

"Ready or not." he says.

"Tell me about it."

We get to the hospital and he gets me a wheelchair. I have gotten to the point where I can't even walk without a sharp, searing pain going up my back. I have felt a few contractions, but they aren't painful. The doctors hook me up to the machine that keeps track of your contractions. There is a heartbeat. Thank goodness. The doctor Dr. Gilbert, soon breaks the news to us.

"Laura. You're in labor."

___________

Rydel's POV

These last year has been the best. I have 2 new nieces and 1 new nephew, and we just got informed that Laura is in labor. I can't wait to find out what it is! I love being an aunt. My mom and dad left to go to the hospital to make sure everything was going along fine. I am not too worried. Laura is a trooper. She can do it. Ratliff, my boyfriend, just in case you didn't know, came into the house without ringing the doorbell or knocking. I have gotten used to it since he is practically my parent's adoptive child.

"So. Laura's in labor?" he asks me.

"YEAH! I'm gonna be an aunt again!" I exclaim.

He comes down and sits next to me on the couch and pecks me on the lips.

"You are amazing. You know that?" he says matter a factly.

"You only tell me everyday." I reply.

Laura's POV

The pain is excruciating and it takes every ounce of my being to not scream bloody murder. Thank goodness Ross is by my side. The doctor had to break my water for me.

"You're doing great. Just a little longer." he reassures me.

"How much longer?"

"I'm going to be honest with you and say I have no idea." he says.

"Well I hope it's not that much longer. Are we ready for this?" I ask, not so sure.

"What? 4 kids? Oh yeah. We've got this in the bag."

He smiles and tells me that everything was going to be okay. The nurse comes in and checks me. I am at a 5. I have made a little progress, but I wasn't getting the results I wanted from the pain I was in.

"How about you go on a walk," says the nurse, "That seems to get things moving."

I look over at Ross and he just shrugs his shoulders.

"Let's go. The sooner this baby comes out, the better." I say.

He helps me out of the bed and we go on a slow, but steady, stroll down the hall. I have to stop every so often to deal with another contraction. We decide to turn around and make our way back to our room. He helps me lie back in the bed and the nurse comes in about 30 minutes later to check me.

"Good job. You're at an 8." she says.

Wow. 3 centimeters in about an hour and a half. I guess now we are getting somewhere.
