Either I'm a mythic bitch or Rebekah's just a nice girl

I hadn't done much more yesterday, only chatted with my friends and noted down a to-do list for the weeks to come. No word about the gangs or the Mikaelsons had crossed my lips towards any of my friends nor my mother at home. I had no intention of making them worry as long as there was no urgent reason for it.

The next day, I left early and arrived just in time. Rebekah was nowhere to be seen yet, so I waited while watching the other students enter the building in small groups. Sophie and Leigh-Anne walked by me, asking if I wanted to accompany them. When I denied, giving the reason that I wanted to stay out here for a few more minutes, they exchanged looks, then shrugged and went on without me.

Shortly after, the limousine stopped by the sidewalk and the Mikaelsons stepped out. Rebekah immediately left her family members behind to join me with a smile.

"You actually came," she stated. "I'm glad."
"Did you think I was lying?" I chuckled. Rebekah straightened out her skirt and her smile appeared a bit shaken now. "Many tend to avoid us though saying otherwise," she admitted. It seemed, something like that had happened a lot to her and I almost felt sorry.

Rebekah quickly caught herself again and put on her smile once more.
"You do know there's going to be more talks about you once we start hanging out more, don't you?" she warned me. "There is no way, you could keep that a secret."
"I'm aware," I sighed. If I was being honest, that fact worried me. Sophie's group wouldn't let this go by lightly. Still, I hoped that somehow, everything would go over without too many side effects.

"You don't have to do this, if you do not want to," Rebekah stated. "I would understand if you had no interest in talking to me because of your image."
"No," I shook my head, "I chose this knowingly. I'm not stepping down now."
"You're a good one," the girl smiled in response. "Well then, want to head inside?"
I nodded and we started walking towards the entrance.

"I love your new shirt," I told her in the meantime, and she turned her head to me surprised.
"How would you know if it's new?" she asked.
"Because the collection was launched just a few days ago," I grinned. Rebekah mirrored my expression even brighter. "True. You know your fashion lines."
"Let's just say, I enjoy shopping way too much." I let out a laugh.
"Same here," she agreed. "It's just so relaxing. It's like going on a journey, only that you're looking at clothes instead of places."

"Travelling through clothes stores," I joked. "If only I could travel to other countries as much as I've done with shops."
"What is stopping you?" Rebekah asked.
With a hand gesture of rubbing my fingertips together, I said: "Money."
"Oh," the girl avoided my gaze, "I didn't think about that. You could travel around with us one day, if you'd like."
"That's a kind offer," I answered perplex, not sure what more to say. I barely knew her after all.

"What else do you enjoy doing?" Rebekah moved on. We had now reached her locker and she opened it without turning her attention away from me.
"Okay, don't be weirded out, but I enjoy organizing and decorating rooms. I can be a bit fanatic when something isn't as perfect as I want it to be."

"You would hate our house then. My brothers always mess with the place, it can be so annoying some times," she told me, searching for her bock. I snuck a look into her locker. There were pictures of her family and Marcel, another pictured herself looking like a model.

"Your brothers. I heard about them from Sophie."
"Nothing good, I reckon?" Rebekah scoffed. I kept quiet. The family picture, which was hanging in her locker seemed so sweet. The siblings and their significant others were all hugging and smiling. "Those girls just don't like us."

"Actually, they're scared of you," I added, which weirdly caused Rebekah to grin, but not say anything. "Then again, many are."
"Some aren't as scared as much as they respect us," Rebekah corrected my stance.
