Combat Training

Class 1-A was sitting on their desks waiting for their next period, when the door swung open with a loud bang.

"I AM COMING THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!" announced a big, muscly man with blond hair and a smile too wide to be healthy.

"It's All Might!" said Kaminari, excitedly.

"Wow, he really is a teacher!" added Kirishima.

'oh good.' thought Mei, sarcastically rolling her eyes. She wasn't a huge hero person.

"Good morning, all! I will be teaching you Hero Basic Training." said All Might, as he moved back and forth in the front of the room. "It is a subject where you train in different ways to learn the basics of being a hero. So let's get right into it! Today, we'll do Combat Training! And to go with that, are these!"

All Might pointed to the right-most wall of the class, where shelves filled with containers began emerging.

"Costumes made based on your Quirk registrations and requests you sent in before school started. After you change, gather in Ground Beta!"

"Yes, sir!" replied the class.

"Ugh." said Mei, banging her head against her desk.

"That's great everyone. You all look cool!" said All Might, upon seeing his students enter the training arena with their new costumes.

Mei's costume was a white bodysuit, with a red zig-zagging design throughout. It was accompanied by a cape-like coat, black boots and black gloves. The material was very study and fire resistant, so that her psi-energy blasts wouldn't set her own clothes on fire.

"Looking good, Mo." said Mei, seeing her best friend in her costume.

"Thank you! I love your costume, Mei. Where did you get the inspiration from?"

"Dunno." she mumbled. The truth was, it was based on a drawing she made for her mom when she was little. It used to hang on the fridge of their old house, and it brought back good memories for Mei.

Then, Mineta appeared next to the girls.

Drool was escaping off the corner of his lips, and his eyes were definitely not trying to meet theirs.

"Man, the hero course is the best."

Mei raised one of her brows and crossed her arms, ready to do some sassing. But before she could, Kyoka made her way over.

"Hey." she said. "Nice costumes."

In that moment, Mineta popped up again, getting way too close for comfort. "Hey Mei, what do you think of my costume?"

"Oh, it's great, you're just missing one thing." said Mei.

"What's that?" the boy said, excitedly.

"A restraining order." she replied, pushing him away with her foot.

"Now, shall we begin, you zygotes?" said All Might, interrupting the chatter between the students.

"Teacher!" said Iida, raising his hand. "This is a battle centre from the entrance exam, so will we be conducting urban battles again?"

"Oh god, shut up and let him explain." Mei whispered, earning a kick from Momo.

"No, we're going to move ahead two steps! Most of the time, fighting villains takes place outside, but if you look at the total numbers, atrocious villains appear indoors at a higher rate. In a society filled with powerful heroes, truly intelligent villains hide in the shadows! For this class, you'll be split into villains and heroes and fight 2-on-2 indoor battles."
