CHAPTER ]1[

Author's POV

"Daddy, you're back!," a little boy sounded excitedly, running as fast as he could with his short legs to the tall looking man.

The man standing smiled as seeing the little boy. He opened his arms, catching the boy inside it.

"How's your day today, little guy," Kai, the man uttered with a wife smile on his handsome features.

The boy smiled excitedly. "Today, Taeoh went to the zoo with teacher."
Kai chuckled lightly as Taeoh, his son was non stop, chattering about his day at the zoo today.

Kim Taeoh, Kim Jongin's only son and his only life.

If you thought that Taeoh's mother and Kai's wife was dead long time ago and left them like any stories well you were wrong.

Kai's wife left him and a still baby Taeoh, running away with other guy.

Soon after that, Kai worked hard to raise Taeoh alone by himself. His company that time was nearly faced bankruptcy.

He was almost depressed, leaving all the things and even ignored his only son.

But one night, he heard Taeoh's crying and that time he realised it, he realised everything.

He realised he still have Taeoh with him, he has his son and he was not all alone.

He pulled Taeoh into a tight embrace, muttering sorry thousand times.

Now here he was, becoming a successful entrepreneur with lots of giant companies.

Soon after the incident, Kai was no longer had any interest to find anyone else.

Not like he was still in love with his ex wife, it's just he didn't want to be hurt again.

Kai even tried to go on a date with other girls and guys but it didn't work out.

Taeoh, always failed the date. He even showed an obvious expression of not liking his date.

At the end, Kai finally just gave up and decided to just stay with Taeoh.

Back to the story,

Kai plopped down at the sofa with Taeoh on his lap. "Do you have fun today?."

Taeoh nodded fervently with his wide smile. "But all of Taeoh's friends came with their mom," the little boy muttered slowly, but Kai could still hear it clearly.

Kai's eyes weakened, pulling Taeoh into his arms.

"Sorry, daddy promise next time we will go there together hm?," Kai tried to cheer up his son, pecking a kiss on the chubby cheeks.

Taeoh's eyes lightened up as soon as Kai said that, he wrapped his small arms around Kai's neck.

"Daddy promise?," his black eyes were sparkling.

Kai nodded, smiling. "Yes, daddy promise."

Taeoh jumped in excitement, pecking a kiss on his daddy's lips. His eyes stopped at the figure that just approached them.

"Granny! Daddy said he will go to the zoo together with Taeoh." Taeoh squealed happily while looking at his grandmother.

"Really?," Yuri, Kai's mother smiled fondly at her grandson.

"Yes!."

Yuri giggled while seeing the excitement inside her grandson's eyes. She softly stroked Taeoh's hair.

"Oh yes, Taeoh has to finish the homework first," he uttered, climbing up and pecked a kiss on Kai's cheek and ran into his room.

"How's your work, Jongin?," the elder questioned, realising his son's exhausted face.

Kai huffed, pulling his tie away. "Lots of works, I even don't have time to eat properly."

Yuri shook her head, she knew how workaholic his son.

"I will cook something for you, go and rest first," Yuri stated, standing up from her seat and walked into the kitchen.

Kai smiled. "Okay, eomma!."

He jumped out of the sofa, heading towards his bedroom.

His bedroom was decorated luxuriously with black almost covering the whole furniture.

He stepped in, taking off his coat and hang it.

He took off his shirt, replacing it with a black bathrobe before walking into the bathroom.

After 15 minutes, he went out with his wet hair.

Taking any clothes he found, wearing it and laid down on the wide bed. His eyes was getting heavier and soon fell asleep.

Taeoh was trying hardly to push the big door of his daddy's room. He pouted his mouth in annoyance.

"Yeay," he exclaimed as he finally got to open the heavy door.

The little legs sprinted into the room and pouted to see his daddy was sleeping soundly in the bed.

He tried to climb up and exhaled heavily as he finally climbed.

"Daddy, wake up," he nudged his sleeping father, not receiving any response.

He frowned his eyebrows. "Daddy! Wake up!." he shook off the Kai hardly than before.

Kai's eyed slowly opened, he looked at Taeoh before pulling his son to lay beside him.

Taeoh pouted. "Daddy, Taeoh doesn't want to sleep yet," he whined, shaking his body to get out from Kai's hug.

Kai only replied with a humming.

Taeoh once again pouted in annoyance, he finally sighed heavily and pulled the blanket. "Daddy must be so tired."

His small hands pulled it to cover Kai's body, patting it gently. Before he snuggled into Kai's arms.

"Sleep well, daddy," the little boy sounded before closing his eyes.

He leaned against his father's chest, burying himself inside the comfortable embrace.
