It was chilly during the night, yet it was nice and peaceful. Besides walking with Jacob, the night seemed pretty cool. I really don't understand why he wanted to walk with me anyways. I'm a grown girl, and I know how to walk home myself. If someone tries to kidnap me or rape me, I know self-defence. I learned Karate as a kid for a year, but only advanced halfway to the next belt though. I was still capable of protecting myself, okay? I didn't need a guy to walk me home just so I can be safe, life he's not my mom. This was like one of the things I was trying to run away from...

"You're really quiet, you know?" Jacob stuffed his hands in his pockets and kept walking. It was either a style of how boys walked, or he was as cold as I was.

"I'm not a talkative person, if you haven't noticed. I'm not good at conversations, or having fun." My voice sounded shaky. I was shivering from the night breeze. I pulled out my jacket from my bag and put it on. I let Jacob keep walking without even noticing I had stopped walking.

"I'll show you fun, Rose, and I can get you into a very entertaining conversation. How about that, hmmm? Are you up for it?"

"No." I honestly wanted to just start running away from him. Wait a second, that's actually not a bad idea to be honest. I started to build up the energy in myself, and started to speed walk. I waited until I was in front of Jacob so I could get a head start. When I was at least a meter in front of him, I increased my speed. I was pacing, running as fast I could.

Rose stop it, why are you running? There is no need, unless you want to be kidnapped.

I finally stopped afterwards. I was out of breath and really tired. I took a moment by walking a little farther, and then I heard footsteps. They were getting louder and louder, as if it was coming closer. I turned around and saw Jacob running after me. Damn, that guy is fast! He must have a lot of stamina. I picked up my speed again and ran as fast as I could. "Rose stop running! I'm going to catch you at one point so there's no point of continuing!" His voice echoed through the streets as I kept running. I kept going faster, making myself believe that Jacob was One Direction trying to chase me. It was actually helping a lot, but he was right. At one point, he'd be able to out run me, and I'd be captured. But I got to admit, that boy has a need for speed.

I could hear his voice getting louder and louder, knowing he was getting closer. I tried to keep running, but then I felt something grab my waists. The hands wrapped around me so tightly, and the person started to lift me. "Let go of me Jacob!" I turned my head around, and I wasn't staring into the green shiny eyes I saw before. These eyes were dull black, and looked mean. I tried to break out of his grasp, but he was holding on to me too tight.

Rose, I told you. You're now being kidnapped. This is what happens when you run from Jacob.

I was being kidnapped... I tried yelling but he put some tape around my mouth. The man was tall and had tanned skin like me, but darker. "Rose? Rose where are you?!" I heard Jacob's voice get louder. The man threw me over his shoulder and started to speed walk. Even though he was strong, even I knew he couldn't run that fast from Jacob with me over his shoulder.

"Rose! What the hell?! Let go of her you asshole!" he said while running after us. Jacob pulled the man's shoulder once he reached him, and turned him so he would be facing him.

"You shouldn't have let such a beautiful girl out of your sight mister. She's mine now. Finders keepers, losers weepers," he scoughed in Jacob's face. If I was free at the moment, I'd totally punch the daylight out of this guy. I was so annoyed; he can't talk to Jacob like that.

"Oh really?" Jacob started off. He sounded really mad, and then all of a sudden he began to speak again. "How about this?" He punched the man right in the face, and I fell to the floor landing right on top of the man. I couldn't move since he was still holding on. This was such an awkward position to be in, like where would this ever look right besides a strip club or in a bedroom. Jacob stepped on his hands, and the man let out a loud yell, while letting me break free. I was picked up by Jacob, and he set me down against a tree to catch my breath while ripping the tape gently off my mouth.

He picked up the man by the shirt and shoved him against a tree. "I'm not done with you yet. You hurt her badly, now I'll show you pain." Jacob punched the man's stomach and face multiple times until we were clearly able to see blood. He kept hitting, and the man suddenly fell to the hard cement. I stared in awe, as I just watched in amazement. Jacob had just saved my life, and this whole time I thought I could protect myself. He ran to me and picked me up from my waist as I started to slowly fall. My whole body was in pain, and I couldn't feel anything. It was as if the man held me so tight, it felt like he literally stopped my blood circulation. Honestly, you can't kidnap a dead girl honey, especially when you've killed her before using her. Common sense much? Jacob pulled me into a hug and slowly carried me into his arms.

"Wait Jacob..." I said trying to catch my breath slowly... "I need to do something," I walked struggling to the bleeding injured man, and kicked him in the private. "Never, mess with me." Jacob stood there with a slight grin on his face laughing at me. I started to slowly fall again and he ran to catch me.

"Let's get ya home, you've had a long night." He then picked me up and carried me in his arms bridal style. We kept like that until we reached my house. Jacob had to keep waking me up every few minutes to ask me which house was mine. I had to tell him where I hid my extra keys too, so he could open the door for me. When he put me down at my front door, I held tightly onto the door handle with one hand, and my other hand slightly pushing force against the wall. He could tell I still had no energy or strength in myself, so he picked me up again and took me inside my house while closing the door behind him. Jacob carried me until he got to my bedroom and set me down on the bed. I pulled the covers over my shivering body, and kept my eyes closed.

"Thank... you... Jacob, for carrying... me home..." I fell right to sleep grasping my bear. I could feel his presence near me getting closer. He planted a small kiss on my forehead.

"If you don't mind, I'm just gonna stay here until the morning, just in case. I don't want something else happening to you right after I leave you. I'll be sleeping on your couch, alright? If you need anything, just call me. Goodnight, Rosie." Jacob grabbed some extra sheets and a pillow lying beside me, and walked out the door, switching off the lights and leaving it pitch black.

I honestly owed him my life.
