First day of school, and it's literally raining. A sign of everyone's beginning of depression. Jacob was still sleeping in bed, so I didn't want to bother waking him up. I let his alarm clock ring as I was in the washroom. While brushing my teeth, I heard a knock on the washroom door, and a lazy Jacob was swinging his arms around, while dragging his legs. I kissed his jaw and closed the door in his face, returning a slower knock but much more force added into it, making it louder. Once I was done, I opened the door to see him wrapped in the bed sheets sleeping again.

"My little polar bear..." I chose my clothes from my walk-in closet and got ready hoping that Jacob would continue sleeping until I was done. I grabbed my black high waist short shorts, and my maroon crop top and slipped on my black high top converse. I weirdly woke up to my hair curly which was usually odd whenever it happened because my hair was naturally straight. I jumped on top of Jacob and he woke up slightly, probably not even in pain. His hair looked messy and cute like it always was, and he sounded grumpy from waking up.

        "Get off me."

        "No. We have school."

"But I don't wanna go to school, mom."

        "I'm not your mom, awkward."

"Fine, you asked for it. Here comes the bed monster!" He went under the covers and grabbed me with the sheets and trapped me in his arms, even though I still couldn't see him. I rolled around trying to break free, until we tipped off the edge of the bed and fell against the hard floor, but I was lucky enough to fall on top of him. He groaned in pain while I laughed at him. The alarm clock began to ring again and Jacob grabbed the clock and threw it against the wall. I stared in shock at his actions and stood up from him. He stood up with me and held my waists coming closer to me.

        "I'll match you today, okay?"

"Okay babe," I replied. He leaned in for a kiss but I lightly slapped him on the face as a reject.

"Don't kiss me when you haven't even brushed your teeth. Like, no. That is just dutty honey." I push away from his grip as he cups his cheek from embarrassment.

"Geez, and I'm the grumpy one in the morning. Girl ain't even going to give me a good morning kiss." He nudges my shoulder while walking past me to the washroom and I run in front of him to kiss his cheek.

"That's not as perfect as your lips on mine, excuse me." I guess he was right, but I still didn't want to kiss him with his stinky ass breath. I grabbed my red Jansport bag from the wall and ran downstairs to prepare breakfast for the both of us. School began in about an hour, so we had lots of time. I heard the upstairs shower turn on, indicating that Jacob was going to take a nice bath. Least he'll smell better than just minty breath, even though I despise the smell of mint because it just disgusts me for some reason. The scent is unpleasant to me, and Jacob thinks I'm kinda weird from my opinions. I made pancakes for me and him and grabbed the maple syrup.

"What smells so good?" Jacob ran down the stairs running to hug me.

        "You, obviously."

        "I meant your food, babe."

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say food clerk." He gave me a grin and dug into his pancakes. He seemed pretty relaxed when he took his first bite, so I guess I made them pretty good. By the time I finished, he was already getting his bag from off the floor, and grabbing the car keys.

        "We're gonna drive there?"

"Yeah why not? I ain't taking no bus or walking. Too many people, and too tiring." I laughed at his thoughts and stood up to put my plate in the sink and meet him outside. He got the car ready so I jumped in while throwing my bag into the back seats.
