My head throbbed in pain as my eyes shot open. My vision was blurry and I could only make out a white room with about two chairs, a bed, and a nearby window with machines close to the bed. I blink a few times to recapture my eye sight and notice someone sitting on the chairs. They were wearing a black sweat shirt with black jeans, and black and white shoes with a matching hat that I couldn't make out the title it read. I tried to get up a little using my elbows as support and looked closer. The person looked familiar but I couldn't tell who it was. As I sat there staring at the sleeping person, the doors to the room I was in opened.

"Ms.Terrado, you must lay back down. You need your rest." It was a nurse, but why was there a nurse here? That's when I realized I had a cast around my left leg as I tried moving it in pain. The person sitting in the chair woke up and stood right up and walked towards me.

        "Rose? Are you alright?"

        "Yes, but who are you?"

        "Jacob."

My mind searched for anything that was relevant to anyone named Jacob, but I couldn't seem to put my finger on it. I stared at him for a moment before looking back down to my fingers fidgeting.

"Excuse me nurse, but did she lose her memory?"

"I'm not sure, but let's see," the nurse sat on the edge of my bed as well as the boy who was in here as well. She grabbed my hand and started to ask me questions. "Honey, what's your name?" the nurse asked me while I took double takes at her and the boy.

        "Rose Terrado."

"Do you have a boyfriend?" the boy cuts in and I looked at him slightly widening my eyes.

"I- I don't know..." He and the nurse looked at each other as if both their light of hope was just burned out. The boy got off my bed and walked out of the room and I just laid my head into the pillow. The nurse's gaze trailed off with the boy, and she soon got off the bed too, to walk out.

        "Goodnight, honey."

"Goodnight," I replied while closing my eyes to go back to sleep. I could feel the sound of rain crashing against the window, so I turned to see the dark black sky with a crescent moon shining. The moon's light seemed to shine through the storm clouds which made the sky look beautiful. I turn my head back to face the ceiling and slowly try to drift off into my sleep. Right after I could get comfortable, the door opens again and I'm awakened by the same boy, Jacob.

        "Sorry, I forgot my bag."

"It's...alright..." I start to close my eyes again and try to sleep again. Even if I couldn't see, I knew he was still in the room. I heard his footsteps coming towards me and stopped an inch away from my bed. His scent getting stronger, I knew he was near me, very near me. I opened my eyes to find him latching onto my lips, his kiss soft and gentle.

"I love you, please stay with me..." his voice trails off to his last few words. I look at him curiously not knowing what to do. My eyes closed shut, and I tried going back to sleep once more. His footsteps headed to the other side of the room, and I heard the door open and close. Thoughts ran everywhere in my head as I couldn't get that kiss out of my head. It seemed… felt… so familiar, as if I've witnessed it before. Flash backs appeared in my head as I saw me and Jacob running around, being happy together, hugging and kissing, being nothing more than the couple we were.

        Remember, Rose. Remember...

My eyes shot open, flipping the sheets off my body and struggling to stand up. I pulled the wires that were attached to my body off, and started to limp in pain to run out of the hospital. I quietly whimpered from the stinging that came from my leg. I tried to push the thought of it to the back of my head and kept my mind focused on finding Jacob. As I found the entrance, I limped out into the rain trying to find him. I called out his name limping faster into the parking lot.
