Genealogy, to me, is interesting. Gusto kong gumagawa ng mga imaginary family history para sa mga characters ko.
I enjoy making family trees because they're fun to make and they help me become organized.
As a rule, I include at least three generations kapag gumagawa ako ng family tree.
Hindi ko na rin ginagamit ang "traditional" na type ng family tree. As much as possible, I accomodate illegitimate children, same sex partners, transgender or transexual members of the family, and polygamous relationships.
Sa family trees na ginagawa ko, hindi ko nga lang nasasali ang birth dates, marriage dates, and death dates. Wala muna akong nilalagay na numbers because that can be tricky for me.
Gusto ko rin sana na sa masali sa family tree ang kahit kaunting fact, backstory, or something notable or important about the character, but I still haven't found an app that I like to use for that.
Another thing to note is that I don't use lines to connect the family tree. For me, mas naguguluhan ako kapag masyado maraming lines (or baka I just haven't figured out the perfect way to make it work for me).
Also, I'm not saying na expert ako sa paggawa ng family trees. I'm actually just a novice in this kind of thing. I create what is easy for me to understand. Saka ang primary goal naman ng paggawa ko ng family tree ay to keep track of my characters.
Anway, this part will be updated every now and then, lalo na kapag may susulpot na bagong character o may bago akong story na sinusulat.
For now, here is the legend for the symbols and abbreviations found in the family trees:
