Chapter 42: Change situations

Taehyung's POV

"Hey?..." I was taken back from my thoughts when I felt hands on my shoulder, i glanced at my back to see who it was and it is Irene "Are you okay?"

I just nodded and continued staring at outside of the window. I don't see Irene pretty at all. Alot has told me she's pretty but I don't see or appreciate her beauty at all.

"Let's go?" I felt her arms on my waist. I took his hands off and took my car keys

"Let's go" I said and left her on my room. I went inside my car and started the engine. I waited for Irene until I remembered something on my wallet.

I took my wallet and stared at the photo on it. It was Jennie wearing a bikini. It seems weird but that's how it is. I misd her damn much. I regretted treating her like that when we talked.

I don't even know why the hell I'm doing this to her when infact I want her so much. I just continued staring at her photo on my wallet and even though she looks sexy in this photo you can still see the happiness in her eyes

"You still love her don't you?" I suddenly heard Irene said. I didn't even noticed her that she finally came. "Why don't you talk to her?"

"Are you shoving me away?" I asked her while staring straight into her eyes

"No. I mean-"

"I love you that's why i chose you" I didn't let her finish and just started the engine and drove the cat. The while ride was full of silence. I don't care. I want a silent sorroundings though.

We finally arrived at the hotel. I parked the car and we immediately went to the venue i read the banners and posters outside the hotel.

Maybe she has arrived.

I took a deep sigh before getting out of the elevator. I took Irene's arm and placed on my arms too. We greeted all our classmates before until we saw my two friends.

"Yow Taehyung!" Jin and Jimin said while coming to us "what's up?"

We did our fist bombs and hugged each other. We talked with each other and went to the table. We even forget the presence of Irene.

I noticed that Jungkook is not with them. So I travelled my eyes everywhere to look for him but even a shadow of him is none...even her

"Where's JK?" Irene suddenly asked. I saw how the eyes of the two changed into darker one.

"Jungkook and Jennie are the MCs for tonight's event" Jin lifelessly answered and stood up to took some drink.

The event has finally started all our attentions are now on the stage and finally Jungkook came out wearing a maroon tuxedu.

Anf finally Jennie came next to him wearing a black long fitted dress while her hair is pony tailed. Jungkook paused for a moment to wait for Jennie and accompanied her to the front.

"Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen I am Jennie Kim" Jennie introduced herself

"Good Evening Dear batchmates I am Jeon Jungkook" Jungkook introduced himself too.

And the programme went well. And I can't take off my eyes to Jennie. Her smiles and Giggles I missed them so much. They both get down on the stage and went to our table since a group has danced for an intermission

"Hey hey hey look who we have here?" Jennie energetically welcomed Jin and Jimin through her hugs.

She looked at me and smiled...is she okay now? Jungkook gave her a bottle of water "Drink that fpr your energy Mrs.Jeon"

What? Did i hear it right? Mrs Jeon?

"Thanks Mr.Jeon"Jennie replied and drank the water. She sat down and the two both waited for the dancers to be done on their performance.

It's 12 in the midnight and the party is finally done. I was silent the whole party while always looking at Jennie.

"Are they together now?" I said as I sat down on my bed. I drove Irene to her house since she told me they will have something to do with her parents tomorrow.

I layed down but my thoughts are everywhere. And it is because of Jennie. How is she?...

I can't help myself anymore so I took my jacket and decided to go to Jennie's apartment. I'm on my apartment and my room and hers are just beside each other.

I opened my door and stared at her door for a moment. Now I'm hesitating. Until the door opener itself. And there Jennie wearing a pink jacket and shorts. "Hey? What are you doing there?"

I was looking for words to tell her and I felt my heart beating fast "C-can we t-talk?" She stared at me in a questioning look until she nodded.

We went to a nearby restaurant, we took a sit and have our order. While waiting for our order I stared at her while her attention is on her phone she probably is texting to someone cause she always smiles everytime her phone vibrates indicating she receives a message.

"Here is your order ma'am, sir." The male waiter said and placed our orders "We can play a romantic music for you since you are a lovely couple. What do you think?" He added

Jennie and I stared at each other feeling the awkwardness but she looked away Immediately and faced the waiter with an awkward smile "No we're not couples. Amm we are just amm friends...yeah friends" She said..ouch...That stubber my heart fuck.

"Oh is that so? I'm sorry then but remember that is where everything starts" The waiter said and left

"Shall we?" She said before we dig in. The whole eating session was full of silence. Aftet eating I paid the food before we both headed to hotel without any words for each other.

When we are in the elevator. I decided to finally speak to her "You seem okay now."

"Huh?." She faced me with a confused look

"Have you finally moved on from me?" I answered her straight forward, she looked shock and looked away "Don't you feel the same anymore?"

"Why the hell are you bringing this topic now?"

"Because I want to know!"

"Know what?!"

"If you still love me!"

She stared at me for a moment before taking a deep breath. "Yes I still Love you." Yes!!!!!

"But this love is different." What?
I looked at her and she is also looking at me already

"What do you mean?" I askee her this time in pleading tone. I don't like the way she says it.

"This love is a love of letting you go. It's a love that is setting you free." She said while lookong straight into my eyes.

"No..no. don't say that. Your just confused I know You love and you know how much i love you"

"Huh. You? Love me? But you cheated on me and hurted me alot of times Taehyung. I have given you alot of chances already but you waisted all of that and took it for granted instead of treasuring it"

"But I treasured every moment with you jennie. Please don't say that I'll wait if you want me to court you again I'll do it please I love you so much" I said crying this time while holding both of her arms. She slowly let go.

"This love.... This love is just hurting the both of us. I think it's enough. Let's end it here Taehyung." The elevator opened.

I was about to say something again but she has already get out of the elevator leaving me.
