Hayden's POV

I open my eyes and look around to see a very strange man looking at me, I take a step back not wanting to be to close too this unfamiliar man. "And just like that you are now completely different person." I touch my neck now noticing that I am missing my necklace with the tooth from Cerberus. "What are you talking about?" I ask making my way over to the large leather couch in front of the fireplace. "I am guessing that you are aware of me?" The man nods his head with a creepy smile on my face. "My name is Mr. Hyde, and you have nothing to fear from me, as a matter of fact you and I have more in common than you know." I sit on the couch as Mr. Hyde slowly walks over to me studying me. "It has been so long since I have seen another alter." I roll my eyes hating that word. "I am a real person, and my name is Hayden." I snap at the man who takes a step back. "I meant no disrespect my dear. I am curious on why Heidi needed you in the first place." I sigh running my fingers through my hair. "She needed me for many different reasons." Mr. Hyde sits down in the chair in the corner not taking his eyes off me once. "I want to know the precise reason why, the core of your purpose." This guy is starting to get on my nerves, "That is none of your business, that is between Heidi and I." I turn my attention to the fire the fireplace as memories start to creep into my mind. "Judging from the expression on your face I am assuming that it has something to do with Hades?" I look away from the fire and towards the door. "He is a monster, he isn't fit to be a father, he tormented his own kids until they were broken physically, mentally, and emotionally." I snarl in anger just thinking off all I had put through thanks to Heidi. "Sounds like you have been put through your own personal hell." I snap my head around glaring at the man in the chair. "I had to deal with everything because Heidi couldn't, she couldn't deal with watching her brother gets burned, she couldn't deal with being locked up a cell for weeks, and that is why she created me." Mr. Hyde nods his head and leans forward in the chair. "People think they know Heidi and I well enough to label us sick or disturbed, but they don't know anything other then what their feeble minds see in front of them, and it is not fair to either of us." Mr. Hyde sighs leaning back in the chair he is sitting in. "And now you seek the same thing I did when I was in the same place you are now." I look at him unsure what to say. "You are tired of having to be the one who does all the heavy lifting, the one that wants nothing more than to live a life without having someone like Heidi weighing you down." I slowly sit back down the couch giving Mr. Hyde my full attention. "That is exactly how I feel, and now I have a way to get that, to finally get my happily ever after." Mr. Hyde smiles at me. "You are after the doppelganger serum." I nod my head but not sure how he knew about that. "How do you know about that? Dr. Facilier was way after your time." Mr. Hyde chuckles as he stands up and walks over to the bookshelf. "Without me Dr. Facilier wouldn't have that serum, I was the first person to ever test it, and at first I thought exactly like you do now." Mr. Hyde pulls a book off the shelf and a secret door suddenly opens. "But taking the serum will only give you half of what you truly want." Mr. Hyde holds out his hand to me as I stand up and slowly walk over to him. "What do you mean? Who are you?" I ask placing my hand in Mr. Hyde's as he leads me into the hidden room. "I am just like you, I am the darker half of someone else." I suddenly see at the very end of the room is a large 8 section, black, chain-link fencing cage. "What is that?" I ask as the two of us get closer to the cage. "It is the home of a true monster." Once we reach the cage I look inside to see nothing. "You brought me in here to see an empty cage?" Mr. Hyde smiles as someone runs up to the cage screaming for help. I fall backwards looking terrified and shocked at the person inside the cage, he has dirty blond hair, glasses, blue eyes, and ragged old looking clothes on. "Who is that?" Mr. Hyde leans against the cage. "This is my other half; Hayden I would like you to meet Dr. Jekyll." The man whimpers away as Mr. Hyde slams his hand against the cage. "Why did you keep him alive after you two were separated?" Mr. Hyde helps me to my feet looking at me deep into my eyes. "Because all magic comes with a price, and the price that comes with taking the serum is that the only foolproof way to destroy one's doppelganger is by killing the original." I take a step away from him feeling the anger welling up inside of me. "You're telling me that I still can't kill Heidi once we are no longer one?" Mr. Hyde nods his head looking the caged Dr. Jekyll. "To kill the original host of the body would just kill the both of you in the end." I scream in anger storming out of the hidden room and back out into the living room. "SHE ALWAYS FINDS A WAY TO PROTECT HERSELF!" I yell flipping a table over onto the floor. "I will find a way around that, but as for right now I need to gather what is needed for the serum." I turn back around to face Mr. Hyde. "I will find a way to eliminate Heidi once and for all, and once I do I will have nothing holding me back." I storm out of the house and head for the secret tunnels that will lead me back into Auradon.
