Chapter 14: A dream is a wish your heart makes

Hayden's POV

"Yeah, I am fine it is just a lot to take in at once, I have been away for a while." I smile at Paul as I sit next to him on the bed. "Do you know where his original stuffed crocodile went too?" I look at him shaking my head unsure of what he is talking about. "It seems to have went missing, but don't worry I got him another one." Paul holds up the what I am guessing is the stuffed animal. "Well that was thoughtful Paul, and I know that Henry just loved his old one." Paul hands the stuffy to Henry who smiles happily at it, and he takes it in his little arms and snuggles it close to him. "I am sure that it reminds him of Harry." Paul says smiling down at how happy Henry is with his stuffy. "I am not sure that I am going to do about that situation." I say looking down at the ground and away from Henry who starts whining and stretches his arms to me. "I think he wants his mommy." Paul takes Henry and places him in my arms and just like that Henry stop whining and curls into me letting out a small deep breath. "Seems like he missed you." I fake smile the best I can wanting nothing more than to put Henry back his crib. "I should get going, I have boyfriend things to do, but it was great seeing you Heidi, and I promise that we will hang out soon and catch up." Paul gives me a light hug due to Henry being in my arms. "Later." He says before walking out of the room and closing the door leaving Henry and me alone in the room just the two of us. "Okay you little schemer, I know that you are using your power of vision communication to try to get your father memory back, that would lead to him bringing your mother back, and that would end up burying me in the darkness." Henry suddenly grabs my necklace and I feel myself zoning out.

I refocus and find myself still the bedroom but it is now night time and my ears suddenly pick up on a voice somewhere close by

Henry: A dream is a wish your heart makes. {I listen to the hypnotic voice, and the feeling of sleepiness starts to take over.} When you're fast asleep. {I shake my head determined to find the source of this voice.} In dreams you will lose your heartache. {I listen carefully and hear the voice is coming from just outside on the balcony.} Whatever you wish for, you keep. {I walk over to the double doors and peek outside to see the shadow of someone being casted from the moon high in the sky.} Have faith in your dreams and someday. {I push open the double doors that lead to the balcony and there I see where the voice is coming from.} Your rainbow will come smiling through. {Sitting on the ledge looking up at the night sky and the stars is a little boy.} No matter how your heart is grieving. {The boy turns to me smiling at me, and once I see his face I figure out that the little boy in front of me is Henry.} If you keep on believing. {Henry jumps off the balcony and walks up to me looking at me with those deep blue eyes.} The dream that you wish will come true. {Henry wraps his arms around me and suddenly everything starts fading away into blackness.}

Heidi's POV

I open my eyes and look around panicked but I soon figure out that I am back in my bedroom and that means that I must be back in Auradon. "Henry!" I yell and I soon let out a breath of relief when I hear the sound of my sweet baby boy, and I see him moving around on the bed. I waste no time picking him up and hugging him close to and kissing his forehead, his cheeks, and his lips. "Mommy has missed you so much baby, and I am so sorry that I left you." I can feel the tears in my tears in my eyes welling up as I look at my little boy that already growing up so fast. "The more you grow up, the more you like identical to your father." I laugh looking deep into his blue eyes that reminds of Harry. "I am sure that your dad would love to see you baby, but I think that he has forgotten who he is." Henry hand moves and I see him pointing to something, and I look to where he is pointing to see a mirror. "You know something, don't you?" I ask the baby in my arms and he starts baby talking. "I need to let everyone know what has been going on." I put the bag that Hayden must have been wearing on the dresser. And I sit on the bed just holding my son that I have missed so much. "I am sure that your godfather has been spoiling you rotten, and I know that you are always going to have a special place in his heart." The sound of someone knocking on the bedroom door interrupts my reunion with my son. "I wonder who that could be?" I ask standing up placing Henry in my arms and I walk over to the bedroom door and open. "Pearl? I must say that i very surprised to see you here." Pearl looks at with and odd look. "You said that you would talk to me later when you got whatever you needed to do done." I sigh because that confirms that Hayden has a reason to Auradon, even if she does know that risks. "Of course, I'm sorry it slipped my mind for a second." I lied and stepped aside. "Please come in, I can tell by the look on her face that whatever you need to tell me is important." Pearl nods her head and rushing into the room as I close the bedroom door.
