Ben's POV

I storm into my office with a group of people behind me as my anger of letting Hayden slip through my finger once again start eating away at me. I let out a loud roar as I flip over my desk and papers and other things fly across the room. "Ben, please calm down." Mal says running behind me and wrapping her arms around my waist. "I should have known Mal, I should be able to tell the difference between Heidi and Hayden." I say trying to get my breathing under control. "She fooled us all into thinking it was Heidi Ben, and she even managed to fool those who are close to Heidi." I love Mal I really do, but right now she is making me feel worse rather than better. "She is a wanted person now, she has committed horrible crimes against the people of Auradon, and these are our people that we swore we would protect." I say picking up my desk and putting it back up right. "Hayden did all those things, Heidi is innocent in all of this." I am not sure what to believe anymore Is Hayden a real person or is this some kind of horrible plan by Heidi to let everyone let her get away with whatever she wants. "What do you think we should do?" I ask turning in her arms and looking down at her. "I think everyone who knows what is going on will understand, and for those who don't we will have to explain it to them." I let out a groan because I was afraid Mal would say something like that. "The people of Auradon are going to turn on us if we let this slide Mal, some of them are already turning on us, and I can't afford for my people not to trust me." A knock on my office door breaks up the conversation between Mal and I. "Enter!" I yell and in walks Cory looking very nervous. "Yes Cory?" Cory bows to Mal and I before speaking. "The people you sent for have arrived sir." I nod my head smiling at him. "Send them in right away." Cory bows again before walking out. "What is going on?" Mal asks and I just kiss her lips. "Just trust me." Is all I tell her as the group walks into my office, and once everyone is in I start the meeting. "As you all well know Hayden was pretending to be Heidi this whole time, and now that she gone underground again it is important that we find her and bring her back, and that is why I have asked you all here." I look at everyone in the room with a hopeful smile on my face. "Jane, did Hayden take anything from the museum?" Jane shakes her head. "Everything is accounted for, but according to the security tapes it was the last place she was seen, and she was seen with that Mark guy." I look at her puzzled and start wondering why Mark would help Hayden, that is unless he thought it was Heidi. "Ally, how is the research coming along?" Ally's eyes show regret and sadness. "I can't find much on the subject, and I have exhausted the library here in Auradon." I let out a sigh but give Ally a grateful smile. "Thank you for trying your best Ally." I turn to next person. "Tiger Peony, have you seen anything regarding Heidi lately?" Tiger closes her eyes for a second but then opens them back up. "It is hard to watch the choices of a person with a split personality, it is like they have two separate brains." I am not liking what I am hearing right now, and it is amazing me that Hayden has been able to avoid all my attempts to find her. "Arabella?" I question hoping for some kind of good news. "No one from any of the other kingdoms have seen her Ben." I slam my fists on my desk with the frustration getting the best of me. "Parker, please tell me you have some good news on Gracie?" Parker nods his head as he leans against the bookcase. "Gracie said that Hayden was after blood of a unicorn for some reason, but Hayden only wounded the unicorn and after she got the blood she healed it." That doesn't sound like the Hayden I have encountered, but maybe Heidi is trying to find her way back. "Jackal, how is Alyssa doing?" Jackal sighs rubbing the back of his neck. "She confessed that Hayden visited her while on break, and before Alyssa could tell anyone who Hayden really was she unleashed Alyssa's dark side and concealed the real Alyssa until she had no longer had any use for her." I feel bad for Alyssa, but we know that Hayden has talents that Heidi doesn't even know she has, and it would seem that Hayden knows how to use these powers to her advantage. "Tell Alyssa that none of us think badly of her, we now know that she wasn't herself." Jackal nods his head as I move on to the next person. "Bonnie, have any of the fairies seen or heard anything about where Heidi might be?" Bonnie shakes her head. "I knew that it was a long shot, but I have to cover every base at this point." I let out a deep breath as Mal starts rubbing my back. "Hadie, you are her brother, and you know her better than anyone. Where would she go if she was going back to the Isle?" Hadie thinks for a moment trying to come up with anything that could help find his sister. "She would stick close to her crew, they are like another family to her, but after what happened with Harry and Uma, I think she would seek out the one of the other leaders to get some sort of revenge on the two of them." I nod my head thankful for the information. "Yzla, I need you to get a hold of your spiders on the isle and tell them if anyone sees Heidi to inform you right away, and that goes double for your felines here in Auradon." Yzla bows before walking out. "I want to thank everyone for helping with this, and I know that Heidi would thank you as well." Everyone bows before walking out leaving me alone in my office. "You can come out now, we are alone." I say and in a blink of an eye Mark appears in one of the chairs across from me. "What do you know?" I ask him knowing very well that if anyone knows anything that it is Mark. "I know a great many things my King, but for something in particular you are going to have to narrow it down." I stand up and look out my window. "What do you know about Hayden's recent movements?" I say trying to be as particular as I can. "She and I meet in the museum, she was headed to the Isle of the doomed to get her hands on some night shade." I turn around looking at Mark in disbelief. "You told her where it was?" Mark shakes his head. "I did no such thing, she already knew where it was and how she was getting there." I walk up to Mark until I am sitting in front of him. "How is getting around with no one seeing her?" Mark puts his finger up with a smile on his face. "I will always be loyal to the chosen one, but there are things that not even I can talk about, for it would change things that already being set into motion." I look at Mark not understanding what he is talking about. "How did she get out of Auradon?" I say getting louder with him. "I cannot say my King, she is a sneaky woman." I shake my head getting back to the main point of this conversation. "What else happened while the two of you were in the museum?" Mark relaxes in his chair. "I warned her the dangers of the Isle of the doomed, I told her that only by getting what she thinks she wants can Heidi and her really fulfill their separate destines." This catches my attention. "Go on." I say leaning closer to him. "The War of Wars coming my King, and the first woman of the world is getting stronger and stronger with each passing day." I am starting to think that Mark isn't as wise as his father was with King Arthur. "What does any of that have to deal with Hayden and Heidi?" Mark sighs before standing up in his chair. "Hayden will be an important part of the first woman of the world's army, and Heidi of course will be an important part to your army my King." I am not sure what to think right now. "Tiger hasn't told me any of this." Mark nods his head as he starts walking around my office. "Tiger can see a great many things that are yet to come, but her powers have their limits, but my power to see into the future is limitless, I can tell you that everything that Chris warned you about not so long ago will all come to pass one by one, and the first one has already started with Heidi betraying Auradon." I sit down on my desk baffled that I haven't been paying close attention. "I know that letting her go was treason, but it is what needs to happen, to finally free Heidi of Hayden and to finally let Hayden achieve her happing ending." I grip Mark by his shirt and throw him up against the bookcase. "You are supposed to loyal to Auradon, and you are letting your own personal agenda get in the way of that loyalty." I growl at him tighten my grip on him. "I am not the only one that has been working tireless on this my King." I loosen my grip. "A future king has been testing his limits trying to save his mother and father from a deadlier fate." I let him go as he drops to the floor. "Who are you talking about?" Mark looks up at me as he stands back up on his feet. "If you really want to know more, I suggest you go talk to the one person that is even more powerful than I am, the one trapped in the museum of villainy, and the one that can answer any question brought to him." It clicks in my mind exactly who Mark is talking about, and when I look back at Mark I see that he is gone, leaving me once again alone in my office.
