Hayden's POV

The woman standing across from me looks to be in her thirties with beautiful blond hair that is curled slightly. She is wearing a half zipped red leather jacket, a white blouse underneath the jacket, a necklace with a ship's wheel a swan charm on it, a pair of dark blue jeans, and brown boots. "Who are you?" I ask forming a fireball in my hand, and the woman takes a step back. "I just saved your life, and now you are going to attack me." I look at her unsure for a moment before fling the ball of fire towards her feet making her back away. "What was that?" The woman walks off the docks making sure not to get too close to me. "It is a spirit of the devilwood, it was playing mind games with you." I walk off the docks pushing past the woman as I start heading to the forest. "You are Heidi, the daughter of Hades?" I stop walking right at the edge of the forest as I turn around facing the woman. "You know me?" I ask as the woman nods her head. "My name is Emma, and you have no reason to fear me." I take a deep breath, and as I really look at Emma I can't help but notice that she reminds me of someone. "You look very familiar. Have we ever meet?" I ask walking closer to Emma who nods her head. "We meet a ver long time ago, you were just a child." I start thinking hard as to how I know her but I can't seem to remember telling me that she must have met Heidi instead of me. "How do we know each other?" I ask wanting to know exactly who she is without giving up the fact that fact that I am not Heidi. "You grew up with my kids on the Isle." She is being just a stand offish as I am at this point, neither one of us want to full admit who we are to the other. "Your kids?" Emma nods her head again as a smile comes across her face as the thinks about her children. "I have three kids, two daughters and a son." That doesn't narrow anything down for me. "I am looking for night shade, can you help me get it?" Emma looks at me with panic in her eyes. "Why do you want something like that?" She asks raising her hands ready to defend herself if she needs to. "I am cooking up a potion, and the last ingredient is a night shade." Emma slowly lowers her hands. "What kind of potion?" I smile a little smile before answering her. "It will make sure that I get my happily ever after." Emma sighs walking up to me until we are now only a few feet from each other. "I thought that I had found my happily ever after, but it turned out that to be more like a prison." I stand there listing to her all the while still trying to figure out who she is. "You lived on the isle?" I ask trying to subtlety get more information out of her. "I did for many years, but one day I just had to get out, and so I took off and found this island." It comes to me that this must be the woman that Ben and Yuri are looking for, but judging by the look of her she doesn't look very special, and that makes me question on why Ben would be searching for her. "There are people looking for you." Emma eyes show fear and terror. "You cannot tell anyone that I am here, if the wrong person found out then I would end up back where I was before escaping, or even worse." I can tell by the tone in her voice that she is sacred of whoever she left back on the Isle. "That is a beautiful necklace." I point to the charms on it. "It was a gift from my then husband, the ship's wheel charm represents him and the swan charm represents me." I smile softly at her but then start thinking of the time I am wasting. "I need night shade and I need it now." I say in a dark tone, and Emma looks into my eyes with sympathy. "I can't stand in the way of a happy ending, especially for a villain." Emma walk past me and up to a very old and very tall look tree. "Do you have something to put it in?" I search my bag and pull out the very last empty vial I have with me. "Here." I hand her the vial as she opens it and places it on one of the thorns on the tree. "This stuff is very deadly, make sure to be careful with it." Emma lets a few drops of a black liquid fall into the vial before putting the top on it and handing it to me. "I hope this potion brings you happiness Heidi, or should I call you by your real name of Hayden." I look at her in shock that she knew who I was never the less seeing through my masquerade of Heidi. "You know about me?" Emma looks at me with sadness in her eyes. "I remember the screams of torment that came from your brother Hadie and you, I remember seeing the scars that your father left on both of you, and I can't tell you how much it pained me." I push away from the feelings of wanting to crumble because I know that if I let my guard down for one moment than Heidi will come back out, and I have come too far now. "I need to get back to the Isle of the lost." I push past Emma and starts heading into the woods. "I can show you another way, and it will protect from having to deal with the spirit again." I take a deep breath deciding if trusting Emma is best or is taking my chances with the spirit and possibly running into Yuri is best. I turn around once again facing Emma. "Lead the way." I say as Emma smiles at me and starts walking around the wooden dock. "Are you coming?' She asks looking back at me. Without saying a word I hurry up catching up with her and hoping that I made the right choice.
