Chapter 26: Devilwood Forest

Hayden's POV

"Who are you, and what are you doing in this castle?" Asks a strange a voice from outside the double doors almost like they could see me through the doors. "I could be asking you the same question." I snap back turning my attention to the double doors. The double doors suddenly burst open and in walks a girl that looks to be the same age as I am, she has long blonde hair that sways side to side as she walks, in her left ear is a star earring, in her right ear is a star earring, she is wearing a blue and silver dress with a star patterned on it, a moon necklace around her neck that swayed along with her hair, and a pair of blue and white sneakers on her feet. "That outfit doesn't go together at all." I all I can say as the girl walks full into the room not taking her eyes off me. "I have my own sense of style, and besides when you live alone you don't need to be worried about impressing people." The girl snaps back at me as the two of us take in each other by looking each other up and down, and I then remember that I am still wearing Heidi type of clothes. "Give me one second." I say before waving my hand around myself changing into an opened black leather jacket, a blue crop top that doesn't cover much of my upper body, black fingerless gloves on my hands, a black leather skirt that covers just as much as my lower half as my crop top covers my upper half, and a black pair of nice looking high heels on my feet. "That's better." I say happy with my outfit as I turn my attention back to the other girl in the room. "Now who are you?" I ask her giving her a dirty look which doesn't seem to faze the girl. "My name is Yuri, I am the daughter of Yen Sid." I let out a groan because today seems to be the day to run into powerful people. "Why are you on the Isle of the doomed? Shouldn't you be in Auradon?" I ask her not completely understanding why someone like her would be on an island like this. "I am on an important mission by order of King Benjamin." She says with confidents in her voice, and this just makes me more curious. "Now why would little Benny send someone here?" Yuri doesn't say a word telling me that she isn't as easy fooled like most in Auradon. "I am here because this is the only place that has night shade." I say honestly before walking past her and heading for the exit, and before I can walk out of the room the double doors slam shut. "Night shade is forbidden in Auradon, and I can't let you take it from this island." I turn around letting out a scoff. "I am not taking it to Auradon, I am taking it back with me to the Isle of the lost." Yuri looks at me confused for a moment before she speaks again, "King Benjamin sent here about a year ago because he is searching for someone." I relax against the door laughing a little. "The only people that were in this island are now trapped on the isle of the lost, this place is deserted, you can go back to Auradon now." I say trying to open the double doors but having no luck. "King Benjamin got information that someone was still living on this island, and it would seem that we are going to need to team up." It is my turn to look at like she is crazy. "I don't need anyone to help me, I will get the night shade all on my own." Yuri shakes her head as her hair swirls around her face. "I know this island like the back of my hand, and I was able to evade Chris and the others who once called this place home." I incline my head as I start to think that I would make things easier if I had someone that could help me. "Who is this person supposed to be?" I ask wanting to get on with my task. "We are not sure of her real name, but she is said to have ran away from the isle of lost years ago and found refuge here on the isle of the doomed." Sounds to me like someone is really good at running from their problems. "Fine, I guess we can work together, but just this once." I say making sure I get what I want is a sure thing. "I would never work will villain unless I had too, believe me." Yuri waves her hands and the double doors open, "To devilwood forest?" I ask her as she nods her head agreeing with me. "Devilwood forest it is." The two of us head out of the room and make our way out the maze-like castle and finally are outside. "That place is impossible to navigate." I say with distain in my voice as Yuri places some spell on the castle. "Do you know where we should start looking?" I ask Yuri as finishes whatever she is doing. "Night Shade grows on the south part of the island, near the beach." Yuri grips my hand and I snatch my hand away from her. "What are you doing?" I ask a little freaked out. Yuri grips my hand again this time tightly. "It will be much faster if I just teleport us there." I let out a small breath of relief as I nod my head, and just like that Yuri waves her hand over the two of us. The next thing I know I am standing alone in the forest. "Yuri?" I yell but get no answer, I start making my way through the forest when all of a sudden, I somehow find myself on a small little beach that looks out towards the isle of the lost, and it is just in this moment as I take in my surroundings that I notice that I am not alone on the beach, there is someone standing close to the edge of the water. I slowly walk up to this person but the suddenly turn around, and I take a breath of relief to see that it is Dizzy. "Heidi? What are you doing way out here?" Dizzy asks running up to me. I am not sure what to tell her at first but I quickly come up with a lie. "Dizzy, I was the strangest thing, one moment I was in Auradon putting Henry to sleep, and the next thing I know I am walking through the forest and somehow managed to find my way here I guess." I shake my head trying to remember what Mark told me about the dark magic of the forest. "Wait, why are you all the way out here?" I ask looking at her unsure if she is real or not. "I came looking for you, remember we were supposed to meet up at color me crazy hours ago." I start thinking and something doesn't feel right. "I am so sorry Dizzy, I completely spaced out." Dizzy smiles at me waving it off like it is nothing, "It's okay Heidi, don't worry about it, I am just excited......" Dizzy suddenly stops mid-sentence and start acting stranger than she normal does. "Dizzy? Are you okay?" I ask waving my hand in front of her face and snapping my fingers trying to get some response from her. "Of course I am okay." Dizzy smiles a bright smile at me. "Okay." I say letting out a breath. "There is just so much glam to add in so little time." Dizzy and I starts laughing when Dizzy suddenly takes my hand looking at my nails. "Starting with these nails, okay just because they are called cuticles doesn't mean they are cute." I lightly take my hand away from her. "Okay." I say with a fake smile on my face. All of a sudden something starts glowing on Dizzy, and Dizzy puts her hand on her chest with a look of pain on her face. "Dizzy, are you glowing?" I ask reaches towards her neck and grabbing the evil necklace that is around her neck, "What kind of necklace is this?" I ask knowing that Dizzy has never once wore anything like this before. "Dizzy! Where did you get that necklace?" I yell taking a step back away from the young girl. "What are you talking about?" Dizzy looks down and suddenly her whole body relaxes. Dizzy lifts her head and a creepy and evil smile comes across her lips. "I wouldn't say that Dizzy is wearing my necklace, it's more like my necklace is wearing Dizzy." Says a strange voice that seems to have taken over Dizzy. "Who are you?" I ask now knowing that Dizzy was just a glamour spell, and Dizzy wasn't really here. "Why don't you show me who you really are." The girl looks at me annoyed and she rolls her eyes. "This is my home, and I don't like uninvited guests." I scoff at her because she thinks I am scared of her. "Okay, then why did you run away in the first place? You must have been scared of something because otherwise you wouldn't be using glamour spell to hide your real identity from everyone." I suddenly hear the voice of someone that I wasn't expecting to see until I got back from the Isle. "Oh, you should definitely be frightened. You never seem to learn your lesson do you Heidi?" Harry says as he and Gil walk out of the forest and come up behind the fake Dizzy. "You're not welcome on the Isle anymore." Harry says in a dark low tone that matches the dark look in his eyes. "Really, and what are you going to do about it Mr. coat hanger." I say stepping back as the three of them starts walking forward ever so slowly. "His name is Harry." Gil says in a cocky voice that makes me wonder how Gil lived day to day without killing himself or getting myself killed by someone else. "Oh, I get it, because his hook look like a coat hanger. That's pretty funny Heidi." Gil laughs as Harry and Uma look at him like they always do. "Stop talking." Harry utters slapping Gil as the three of the walk closer to me and I step further back. "Thank you, I will be here all week." I say doing a little bow. "You know you are not as strong as you think you are Heidi, the first woman of the world will have the last laugh." Harry hisses as the three of them get closer. "I wouldn't want to be you right now Heidi." The fake Dizzy scoffs and let out a little laugh. "I wouldn't want to be her ever." She says cocking her head to the side as I step onto the wooden dock. "What makes you think this is going to be any different than any other time that I have beaten you?" I ask looking at the three of them. Suddenly both Harry and Gil start talking like the woman that is pretending to be Dizzy, and it hits me that Harry and Gil aren't really here either, they are just like Dizzy. "Those were messily little battles, there is a war coming." The voice says coming out of Harry. "And in this war, I will be triumph." Say the voice coming out of Gil. "I will have everything, the isle, Auradon, and you princess, oh I am coming for you Heidi." I smile a big smile at the three of them as Harry takes out his sword. "Oh yeah, not if I come for you first." Before any of us can react there a sudden burst of light and I cover my eyes not sure what is happening. Once the light is gone I uncover my eyes to see someone standing behind where Dizzy, Harry, and Gil were standing. "You're welcome." Is all the woman says as the two of stare at each other.
