Kurt woke up in blackness. The clock flashed 5:45. He groaned. It was time to wake up. He closed his eyes again and heard the sink running in the next room. Marvin was up already doing his own morning skin care ritual. Sometimes Kurt could swear that Marvin was more gay than he was.

Kurt sat up. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes and slipped his cold feet into his fluffy, warm unicorn slippers. Reluctantly he stood up and yawned, stretching his back. Kurt glanced back at his alarm clock, noticing something was different. The color was weird again. It wasn't red... or pink... what could it be? Kurt practically sprinted to the light switch, tripping over his own feet.

"Careful!" He heard Marvin laugh from the bathroom.

"T-thanks Marv!" He stuttered. He sprinted back to his bed and peered under the mattress. There lay his stack of colored papers. He rifled through them until he found the different one. The first one read "blue", then "teal", "turquoise", "light blue" "navy", "sky blue", "ocean blue", "dark blue","indigo", and more. He gasped in awe of the beauty. He looked around his room. Kurt noticed that the walls were most closely classified as "sky blue". His Dalton uniform was different too. The uniform was "navy" and the piping was red.

Having regathered his composure, he strolled into the bathroom. Kurt smiled at Marv, who was standing in front of the mirror, rubbing dark grey bronzer on his face (BAHAHAHAHA). "Mornin' Marv."

"Good morning Kurt." Marvin scooted over so Kurt could share the sink with him.

"Trying to impress anyone with the bronzer?" Asked Kurt with a grin as he tried to embarrass his roommate. Marvin blushed a deep shade of maroon.

"Maybe a certain someone..."

"Who?" Asked Kurt, suddenly intrigued. Kurt opened his toiletry bag and washed his face in the sink.

"It's a secret."

Kurt rolled his eyes. "You do realize that if you don't tell me, someone else will right? The gossip chain is the most efficient part of this school."

"Fine. He's in the Warblers... He has dark grey, curly hair. He greases it back. He's short, kinda like a hobbit." Marvin laughed at that last part and stared at himself dreamily in the mirror as he imagined his certain someone.

"Oh, he sounds sexy." Kurt teased. "Is it by any chance the Blaine Anderson?" Marvin's face turned as red as a tomato (which Kurt had officially seen one yesterday for the first time since seeing red!). Kurt took that as a yes. "I'll take that as a yes." Marvin playfully shoved his arm.

"How about you Kurt? Have you met a guy?" Kurt bit his lip.

"Can I tell you a secret Marv? You promise not to tell anyone?"

"Of course." Marvin held out his pinky and Kurt reciprocated with his own. What he didn't know was that Marvin had his right fingers crossed at his side,

"Yesterday I started to see colors."

Marvin gasped. "WHAT?! WHO?! WHAT?! WHERE?! WHY?! HOW?! WHAT'S IT LIKE?!"

Kurt smirked a little bit. "Yesterday I went to find a shortcut in between a class and then like a few hours later things started to change. At first I thought I was mentally ill. Then I realized that wasn't the case. So I ran to the nurse's office and she gave me these." Kurt pulled his packet of colorful papers to Marvin.

"But these are all color names you've already heard of."

"Ah, but each paper is different. Each paper's color name is the color of the paper itself." Kurt grinned.

"So like this... violet one... is actually violet?" Kurt nodded.

"The nurse predicts that I'll start to see new colors everyday. Yesterday was red, and every variation of it. Pink, maroon, scarlet, etc. Today is blue, I guess. Did you know that our uniforms are navy blue? And the piping is red?" Marvin stared at Kurt as if he had just seen an alien.

"Whoa. Wait a minute, who is the special someone?"

Kurt shrugged. "I have no idea. I'm guessing someone I passed in the hall on my way to my next hour."

"We have to find your soulmate! Before you become blind!" Marvin said this last part with wide eyes. He looked like a little kid on Christmas Day. Marv ran his fingers through his curly, light grey hair.

Kurt agreed with a nod, "But you can't tell anyone! Okay?" Marvin nodded.

"What else in this room has color?"

Kurt pointed to the walls. "The walls are light blue. The bottle of hair gel you're holding is scarlet." Marvin gawked at the said objects as if they had Ebola.

"Wow Kurt. I'm so happy for you." A hint of sadness edged his voice. Kurt started combing his dark grey hair and applying a small amount of gel to it to make it stand up.

"Awww, don't be sad Marv, you've got your whole life ahead of you. You'll find him. He's out there waiting for you and when the time is right, you'll be in each other's arms in no time."

"Thanks Kurt." Marvin dabbed a small tear from his eyes with a tissue, as to avoid smearing his foundation.

"Anytime roomie."

The rest of the day went by pretty slowly. When it came to Warbler rehearsal, he had to force himself to go. Throughout the whole hour, he never said a word. He rested his head on his hands and squeezed his eyes shut. Kurt also noticed that Blaine was quiet too. It was very unlike him. Blaine appeared to be deep in thought. Normally he was the first one to have an opinion on... everything. Blaine reminded Kurt of a Rachel Berry. He was loud, sometimes obnoxious, and loved the spotlight. Though, he was cute in an elf-that-really-wants-to-destroy-the-environment-by-using-too-many-hair-products type of way. Kurt could really see why Marvin liked him so much.

The Warblers had decided on a set list for Sectionals already and had even hired a choreographer. Kurt was very excited, and had made sure his name was first on the solo sign up sheet. After the rehearsal, everyone that planned to attend, headed to the Junior/Senior common room for the movie night.
