A/N: more tws for homophobic slurs and stuff like that

~

Thomas sighed stressfully as he walked into his house. He thought about everything that happened today with James...

And Thomas knew he felt the same way, but wouldn't dare to admit it.

Thomas heard someone clear their throat, making him jump and turn around. It was his father. Thomas dreaded this.

"So, are the stories true?"

"Wh-what stories?" Thomas asked, trying to play dumb. His father looked at him sternly. "The ones about your little fag friend."

Thomas looked down and felt like he was going to cry. "Y-yes..."

"I also hear that you didn't do a thing about it!" His father raised his voice and Thomas flinched.

"F-father, I-" Thomas fiddled with his thumbs and let a few tears slip down his cheeks. His father scoffed.

"If you won't do anything about it, then I will."

Thomas' eyes widened as he looked up. "Father no!"

"Why not? Don't tell me my son is becoming a faggot too."

Thomas let tears flow down his cheeks freely. He started to get angry.

Why was this so bad?

His questions were the same as James'. Thomas was so angry that he accidentally let slip, "So what if I am?"

Instantly, he regretted it. A loud smack went through the air as Thomas' father hit him. Thomas started to sob.

"What did you say?"

Thomas hesitated to say it again. But, he decided to own his truth (A/N: if anyone gets this subtle reference please be my friend).

"So what? What if I'm a faggot? What's so wrong about that?" Thomas' father slapped him again.

"Get out!" He screamed. "Get your stuff, and leave!"

Thomas was still sobbing as he packed bags full of his stuff.

Soon, once he was done, Thomas carried every bag out the door by himself.

"Don't you dare come back!" Thomas heard his father yell.

Thomas walked for a good five minutes before stopping and thinking about where to go.

He can't go to James'... At least not yet.

Aaron didn't have time to do anything for him at the moment.

Thomas hates Hamilton, so that's a definite no.

Then he remembered, Lafayette!

Thomas smiled slightly as he walked hurriedly to Lafayette's house. People gave him weird stares as he walked with a slightly bruised, red face and a bunch of bags.

Finally, he made it to Lafayette's house. Thomas knocked on the door, shifting his weight from side to side nervously.

The person who answered it was Lafayette.

"Thomas...?"

"Lafayette, I need somewhere to stay-" Thomas sighed and felt more tears come to his eyes. "I-I know I'm a terrible person but-"

"Mon ami, it's okay. Come in." Lafayette stepped aside to let Thomas in. Thomas let out a sigh of relief and stepped in quickly.

"Mother!" Lafayette yelled. A woman came from upstairs hurriedly when she heard her son's voice.

Lafayette vaguely explained some things to his mother in French and when Thomas had to tell why he was there, he had Lafayette translate it for him.

Lafayette and his mother let Thomas stay for however long he needed. They let him sleep in the guest bedroom. Thomas thanked them endlessly.

And Thomas wanted to tell James, so badly, about everything. His feelings, his father, everything.

But he  couldn't.

Not today.
