The little boy opened his eyes slowly. He noticed that his right side was hurting an there waas something big and warm on top of him. He gently moved it offto his side and sat up.
He noticed a few things quickly: there swere no buildings around, it was getting dark, and there was a giant wolf laying beside him.
Even though the wolf laying beside him wouuld terrify anyone else, he actually felt comforted by its presence. it was as though the wolf was a part of him.
As the boy watched, the wolf rose to its feet then turned and looked at him. He could tell it wouldn't harm him, and he didn't know how he knew that. He felt like the animal was part of him.
as he looked around, he saw a small building off in the distance and decided to make his way to that. He started walking forward and saw that the wolf was following him.
"Go away!" he screamed at it, and in his head, he heard no, i want to stay with you.
"Did you say that?" he asked and in his head he heard the voice again. Yes, it was me. said the voice as the wolf nodded its head. The boy fell back and landed with a muffled thump on the soft dirt, unconcious.
When the boy sat up he felt something warm and soft on his arm. He sat up and looked beside him to see what it was, and he saw the wolf laying beside him
Are you awake? Said the voice whom he assumed was the wolf.
"Yes" he said.
Are you Injured?
"I'll live." said the boy
Alright then, we should keep moving.
"Why?"
The sun is about to set and it will be very cold tonight.
And then they were off.
